Where do I start..?
The place is really cute. We drove by it and it was packed so we decided to stop in. If packed it must be good, no? We put our names on the list. The waitress said the wait was about a half hour. No biggie. Close to an hour and we still had not been called. I went inside to use the restroom and noticed so many tables were unoccupied. It didn’t make sense why the line to get in was not moving. Finally, after much inquiring, they called us in.
Place is very cute and it smelled delicious. The menu had many appetizing choices. As we were getting ready to order, the waiter came out to say that they closed the kitchen for five minutes due to being backed up with orders. He poured us coffee and we waited to place our order while sipping our morning brew. After about another 25 minutes, the waiter still had not taken our order.
During this time, there was a table next to us with a couple who had been waiting since before we even sat down to pay for their meal. The waiter passed by them several times and never grabbed their check. As we are looking around to make sense of what was happening, we see a lot of people looking around as well for anyone to come to their table so they could place their order. Out of nowhere we heard a lot of bickering and arguing between cooks and waiting staff. I swear it was like straight out of a Gordon Ramsay show. They kept turning people away at the door. Everyone was yelling at the receptionist to not let anyone else in. There was one young couple sitting at a table. The girl on that table got up to ask the waiter how much longer. The waiter snapped at the customer saying “I don’t know what you want me to tell you!” I felt so bad. She sat back at her table looking so shocked and her boyfriend disgusted. Minutes later, the waiter finally approached us to take our order, he disclosed it would be about another 30-40 for food. Obviously, we left. At this point it was less about the wait for food, but more about the vibe. Not a good one at all.
I understand being understaff, but at least be attentive with the people that are currently inside the restaurant. And don’t snap at them! I want to say this is all understaffing issues, but still.. just left a bitter taste in my mouth without actually...
Read moreI always wanted to explore Maine, one of my bucket 🪣 list was to visit a beautiful town called Kennebunk Maine, the day after my arrival to Maine I decided to take my family to a breakfast place call (Mike's all day breakfast) The place seems ok, the waitress that took our order was rude and seems upset, we felt unwelcome and uncomfortable, nevertheless, we ignored it, do to such service i decided not to eat there, let it be known that this waitress kept her rude attitude the entire time we were there. So much for a first day after arrival to the state of Maine good impression. I then new i needed and was a MUST to make that up to my family and to find that good impression that was lost that day somewhereelse. My lady felt upset not knowing on why such attitude from the waitress but despite her behavior she took it upon herself to tip her for everyone. The second check didn't tip because the 1st check already had tipped her. We got up and walked out to our vehicle, right before putting my vehicle in motion to drive away this waitress came outside and approach our vehicle, gave hand motion signs to us indicating to pull down our vehicle window (we thought she came out because we probably forgot something), we opened the door instead, this waitress demanded a tip and said (aren'tyou gonne tip me!), we were stunned, surprised and in chocked, we kept silent, again she repeated herself ( aren't you gonna tip me!) , ( where is my tip!! in America we tip) , we wasn't gonna entertain that behavior, we closed the door. As she walked away she gave a middle finger. As far as I am aware in our country (USA)we tip for good service not for rude service. The food seems ok yes , atmosphere ok and kinda cozy, service was terrible. My tip for her is to try not to be so unhappy and to try to give a better and/or good customer service, at least a better good impression for customers. Better service and a good attitude...
Read moreIf you consider to start your morning w a good brunch and positive day, DO NOT come here! guarantee Its so bad it will ruin your day from the morning!
I hardly leave harsh reviews like this but this has been probably worst restaurant experience ever.
We waited for 50 min to be seated on a random tue morning. Then once we seated, another 45 min still no food! Total more than120 min for breakfast? Two hours out of your precious vacation time, Worth it? You decide
The line outside was very long we thought it exceeded capacity and willing to wait Once got seated, we realized the inside space is roomy and many empty tables( why the longline outside then?) We sat there, nobody came by and there were waitresses( greeters) walking by back and forth nobody even acknowledged our existence, no smile, no nodding, no eye contact. You think cus they were too bombarded? No they moved slowly, no sign of urgency.( which is great of them) The table sat after us got serviced first No water is served Tons of messing up w orders, eg bringing food from other table to our table… After 45-50 min we finally got our food. Then there were some errors w order… The food is actually pretty good, kudos to kitchen. During the 50 min wait time, we sat inside and observed many many tables of people just sitting with no waiters taking orders or servicing… It seems more of a service system issue Not enough hands Not enough training for service staff Not enough role/ responsibility assignments.. Not enough management… We wont...
