Port Lobster — Restaurant in Kennebunkport

I wish there were words to describe how absolutely wonderful this place is! After the Camp Fire destroyed out town of Paradise, I drove across the United States to get my heart back, and "accidentally" ended up at Kennebunkport, Maine as my Atlantic Ocean stop. It's notorious for high prices and tourist traps but this shop was simply amazing in their service, kindnesses and friendliness. They cooked it all up and packaged it so I could walk out onto the shoreline and eat on a bench. And the cost was SO LOW that I'm almost embarrassed to tell ya! I had 3 fresh live lobsters and 2 ears of sweet corn cooked up, and two cups of delicious clam chowder, plus all the utensils, bibs and cleanup goodies for less than what you'd pay for a 12" sub, chips and a drink! They serve the local folks do they are genuine and thoughtful to everyone. If you want to really enjoy Maine lobster and still afford a hotel room, don't waste your time going to the "gotcha" restaurants on the street! Stop in, say hello to the owner, James, and the rest of the crew, and get the day's FRESH CAUGHT seafood! Absolutely a wonderful establishment! Small, no frills, simple spot to grab FRESH lobsters. Tyler helped us buy 15 lobsters and gave us lots of good info about lobstering in the area. He steamed and even provided us with some butter and made sure our bags wouldn’t leak.

Great prices for the lobsters and the other seafood was reasonably priced. They also have other drinks, desserts, seafood items, and even beer for purchase. Parking was right upfront and we didn’t have to wonder around looking for a spot.

Tyler was kind and patient with us and we had a good conversation with him about lobstering/seafood. We will be sure to tell everyone about this spot! The fresh lobsters were the highlight of our trip to Maine....

Update Thank you so much for the amazing quality and service of the lobster delivery to my parents in NC!!! My parents received their lobsters the day projected, cooked perfectly! My parents enjoyed them tonight and wanted to my sure you and everyone knew how happy they were!!!!
