As a long time patron of Ted’s BBQ on Williams, I like many of you were sad to see them go. I wondered what would take its place and have been tracking the progress of the little now teal building waiting to see what would open. And I finally got to go last week! Yall. Cómo Arpeas is outstanding. Arepas are a Venezuelan staple food, eaten at all times of day. Most similar to a “sandwich” but even the best sandwich I’ve ever had doesn’t hold a candle to these arepas I ate last week. Each one is a freshly made pocket bread made of corn meal and lightly fried to keep the inside soft and the outside with just enough crunch. Not greasy. And the options are endless to load them up with. I had the Machada, which was slow cooked braised beef with outstanding flavor and shredded cheese. I want to eat one everyday. My mom added fresh avocado to hers and I will definitely be doing that next time.
The staff were super friendly and helpful suggesting options to us as first timers.
The place is spotless but still has the same friendly feel as it did with Mr Ted. Family owned and small.
Excellent choice for lunch or breakfast when you want something delicious and different hut inexpensive and quick. Checks all the best boxes for me and so happy they are 3 minutes from my...
Read moreExtremely disappointed. 26$ for 1 arepa and a small 6$ mango juice way overpriced and on top of that my check had an appreciation tip added. This is beyond ridiculous. The arepa had shredded beef but it tasted more like shredded paper that I almost choked on it, just tasteless and dry that I ended up with a terrible stomach ache. First and last time I spent my money here. The worse lunch I ever had. The place looked dirty on the outside and inside as well. The place was empty. Don’t recommend.
Response to the owner or Rick whoever you are, so I don’t have to show my name in here, that’s none of your business.. Don’t worry about my reviews on other business. Second, what you need to worry about is how to make better food and not overcharged especially for small overly priced basic juice nothing fancy about it. And cleaned up your place. And third I did not dine in here place looked too filthy. Oh and last thing don’t add an appreciation tip on the checks. What a rip off!! Definitely don’t deserve any...
Read moreThis place was such a good place to eat at. The food was great! It was my first time eating arepas and they were so good. The little Nutella, guava and cheese Teqenos (not sure if I spelled it right) were so delicious. The Nutella ones were my favorite. They served fresh mango and strawberry juice which was also good. We also ordered empanadas both beans and cheese and the other one was chicken. The beans and cheese empanadas were a 8/10 which was good but the chicken one was my fave. They just opened a month ago and it’s like a little hole in the wall. Would definitely...
