TL;DR: skip it.

We were there at 3 pm on 12/17/23. I want to start with the fact that the bartender on duty was amazing, super attentive and very personable... And super apologetic for everything that is wrong with this place. We sat down and before we ordered our drinks we were told there was no food available. About 20 minutes later the bartender let us know that the cook showed up but they would only be serving small pizzas, which seemed strange as there is literally no difference between a 7" and 14" pie except the size of the crust. We were told that it was the manager's deccision, and I use the term manager loosely. Due to the food situation we decided to try elsewhere (not too many great options at MSY). While I was waiting to pay my tab, the manager, who up to this point did nothing to help out her staff, came up to me asking if I had been helped yet (had been 15 feet from her for the past half hour drinking our cocktails) in a tone that, to me, implied that the bartender was not taking car of customer. Once I told her that we had been helped and just want Les to pay up, she walked back over to her leaning place and did not acknowledge me again. As I stood there eating for bartender to finish helping others, the manager began making personal calls. The lack of effort on the managers part was dismal and if she worked at one of the restaurants that I used to run, she would be fired on the spot.

Same day update: the "manager" was down at Leah's Kitchen, another restaurant owned by the same parent company (Delaware North), leaning on a kitchen counter carrying on conversation with the cooks for...

Please don’t come to this place. I came here to get dinner before my flight home. There was an hour before my flight boarded so I decided to come to Midway Pizza. When we arrived we went to give our order to the woman making pizzas. Without looking up, she rudely told us to order at the bar. We walked up to the bartender working at the bar and watched as he painfully slowly made a drink. After he finished the drink he took our order, still extremely slowly. We then waited 20 minutes for our pizza and 2 sandwiches to be ready. When we hadn’t been called to receive our food we went to the woman making the pizzas and asked how long it would take for them to by ready. After showing her the receipt, she said that she never got our order. She called across to the bartender and told him she never got the order. He then walks over saying that he, “did it again.” At this point our flight was boarding in 15 minutes so we asked if we had time to get our food. The woman said she could make it in time, but after 15 minutes of waiting, our pizza was still in the oven and our sandwiches were still not started. We told them we had to leave and that we needed a refund. The bartender weakly apologized and gave us the refund, seeming not to care whatsoever. I wish I could review the food, but unfortunately I never received it. The only positive experience I had at this place was the decoration of the walls.

TL;DR: failed to put in order,...

Where to start. I wish we had checked the reviews before wasting our time and money on this hole. Every staff member we met was rude! We were made to feel like an inconvenience from the start. The kitchen staff were shouting and swearing right where we were made to sit as we couldn't use the restaurant area as it had been cleaned ready to close up in an hours time. My husband got his pizza first. Mine took another half an hour after that because they messed up the order. I only know this because I could hear them arguing about it not because anyone let me know or apologised. I also heard the kitchen staff, who messed up the order, ask if he should just 'take the pepperoni off' my cheese pizza I had ordered instead of making a fresh one. I think if we had not been sitting as close as we were that is exactly what would have happened. When the pizza finally arrived, it was getting close to closing time. The kitchen staff member sat on the table behind us tapping and being obnoxious clearly wanting us to leave. I took one bite of my pizza, boxed it back up and left. This place is the worst restaurant I think I have ever been in and I hope this review helps people not to bother! I just wish there was a 0...

Stopped to grab a drink and a bite to eat around 5 PM on a Tuesday as we waited for our flight to board. It wasn't very busy at all, but we soon found out why. We were greeted by the man who was tending the bar and were told that he was the only person working, so there was a limited menu and only a couple pizzas left. I can't imagine how stressful it would be to be understaffed at one of the only food places in the airport, so I was more understanding than some other patrons who did not receive the same information as well. Really, I was just thankful there were any options at all and ordered a cheese pizza with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. The cheese pizza was actually pretty good! Looking at some other reviews here, there are some pretty sad looking pizzas, but mine turned out great. It had the perfect amount of crunch to the crust and the flavor was good. Was it the best pizza I've had in the world? I wouldn't jump to say that, but it really satisfied for wanting a quick bite before getting on the plane! Also, shoutout to the bartender because he really hooked it up on the wine pour and my glass was so full. Really set me up for a nice nap on the plane, hahaha.

Not much to say, it was a pizza joint in an airport. All the usual expectations were met for an airport restaurant apart from one (read on to find out more). Prices were high but the pizza I order was advertised as 14”. To my pleasant surprise it was DEFINITELY 16”+ to the envy of my friend Callum. I don’t know if this was an error, or if it is a hack they like to keep secret. Either way- go here and get the 16” pizza. The pizza wasn’t bad either. Far better value than the small ones, and get like 3x as much (in addition to the classic pizza mathematical principles of one big being better than two small due to more overall area and a larger proportion of that area being not crust). The lady made a rude comment to me when I didn’t tip. I didn’t think rules applied in an airport and the service was simply fine, not exceptional.

After reading multiple reviews of all the restaurants in this airport (none of which were good) we decided to ‘wing it’ and see what we could find by ourselves. We settled on Midway as the food looked good and what we were after. The server, however, was not pleasant to start with. We gave her our order of a Meatball Sub and a Meatball and Mozzarella Personal Pizza and a couple of sodas. When the food arrived, it was actually tasty. Really hot and definitely hit the spot. The service did get better later when we were advised to take our time and not rush to go but the initial interaction was still fresh in our minds. The choices are not great at this airport (trust me, we stopped at more than one prior to this one) so maybe just go for the food - to which we would recommend.
