Racist is what I would call this place. Yep, racism can go both ways. This is the 2nd time we've stopped here to eat while waiting on our flight out. A year lapsed between visits, yet the experience was basically the same. THE GOOD-the pizza is always good! It's hot, fresh and delicious! The drinks are good and cold. There are charging ports at the tables, which is helpful. It's nice to have a table to sit at while eating in the airport. THE BAD-The service is HORRENDOUS! Aside from the sweet lady that waited on our table (when she had time), everyone else in that establishment completely ignored us or was flat out rude to us. We ordered our food from the app & our waitress came over with the drinks shortly after we ordered. She was the only one waiting tables in the entire place, so we didn't see much of her. After she dropped our pizzas at the table, we realized we needed parmesan cheese and plates. I didn't see our waitress anywhere, so I walked up to the counter where the food is cooked & people sit to order as well. The girl behind the counter watched me walk up, she looked at me, turned around to the stove and ignored me. So I said, "M'am? Can I get some plates for our pizzas please?" She turned and looked at me with attitude and said, "I'm the cook, I don't get plates. That's your waitresses job." I could not believe someone that works in the service industry would think it below them to hand a customer some plates that are stacked right in front of her for use. I responded that we had gotten our pizza, but haven't seen our waitress since and asked again if it was too much trouble to get some plates. The girl proceeded to roll her eyes at me, yell at the man making the pizza's, "[NAME], this lady want some plates! Can you get her some plates?!" So he had to stop making pizza dough, walk to her area by the stove and hand me some plates that were stacked right in front of her. Now I understand people being busy, having a specific job even, but if you can't reach your hand out and pass some plates to a customer when they ask politely, you don't need that job! All of the other customers that were the same ethnicity as her, she greeted with a smile, gave them plates, condiments, and was generally very pleasant to them. I guess we didn't have the right skin tone to be treated with the same kindness. That behavior was completely uncalled for & that will be the last time we spend our $100...
Read moreWe arrived at the airport at 5:40 for our 6:50pm flight. We knew we were going to have dinner in the airport. However, by the time we arrived, every restaurant and snack place, we were familiar with, was closed or closing down. So “Mondo” was the only place to go. We arrived and the line was super long. The host was very kind and very patient. The restaurant is not very big, so when he said the wait was 25-30 minutes, we weren’t surprised. Additionally, our flight was delayed 2 hours. So we waited.
It was only about 10min before we were called. Not long after being seated we were welcomed and asked for our drink order. Our server, Sweetie, was amazing. She was attentive and she took our orders without having to write it down! We both ordered pizzas, everyone around us was eating pizza and it looked so good, we had to order too, lol
Not too long after, maybe 20min, our pizzas came out fresh, hot and perfectly made! Sweetie filled our order to the letter! Our glasses were never empty, she kept up with all of the tables in our area.
When looking up the restaurant, the site showed that they close at 5 also. We were there on Sunday until 7:15pm and everyone was still hard at work!
Thank you Mondo’s for taking care of all us that needed a meal ♥️
All in all, a great experience while waiting for a super...
Read morethe service at this place is absolute garbage. I waited 1 hour for a small 10in pizza and 30 mins for glasses of water. My server and the 1st manager that came up just tried to smile it out and lied about what happened instead of just being honest and telling me that the order wasn't submitted by her. my expectation would have been managed at least. I had to watch 8 other pizzas come out to tables that were sat after me. you're in the service business...provide it. I've worked it before; its not hard. the saving grace is the GM or whomever is in charge. she came out, apologized, and removed the food from my tab; all of our food. I would have preferred my tab being taken care of but the drinks I ordered were good, so I wanted to pay for them. although, since my food was removed, I think they purposely added a drink charge that slipped through my review. I had already paid so there was nothing I wanted to do, or get into again. I wish I could add the names but I do not know them. be careful coming to this place in the airport. there are other places worth so much more. last thing, I got the pizza after an hour and the...
