Organik Bar — Restaurant in Kenner

Rating so low because of poor customer service experience and unhygienic food prep, the food and drinks are great here.

I'm writing this review as a result of contacting by email and getting no response. It has been a couple of weeks, so have given plenty of time for someone to reach out about this. Below is a portion of the email sent:

"Good afternoon, I am writing in regards to my visit today at the Kenner, LA location at 819 West Esplanade Ave. The young kid working here today, right before taking my order, blew his nose behind the counter where drinks and food are prepped, then proceeded to put on gloves for service without washing his hands. He then took my order, handled the money, then proceeded to start making my order. I asked him kindly to please at least change his gloves before preparing my order. He did it, with an attitude, and did not respond when I said thank you. I still tipped him, with no gratitude from him, after spending almost $30 on this visit. In an establishment that charges premium prices for health food items, I expect, at the very least, much better hygiene and food prep care. The poor attitude, unfortunately, I have come to expect these days, especially from young employees, but neither is acceptable."

If the owner of this establishment is interested in receiving the email in full for further details, I'd be more than happy to send it directly.

I have not returned to this location since this incident, and have no plans on it as of now, which is unfortunate given that I love their food and drink items. Also, I have absolutely been telling people about this experience so that they are aware of unhygienic their visit might be. Maybe this review will get the right person's attention to have this properly handled, as this experience was disgusting and...

If you love fitness, and wellness, or just need a place to start, I highly recommend You check this place out and you won't be disappointed. My schedule can be hectic, and most of the time im overpaying for bad fast food. At Organik Bar you get every dollar's worth of value. Smoothies, Juices, protein, and TOP notch-friendly service. The location is very cozy and you can enjoy your refreshment indoors or outside. I Highly recommend the Pink berry bowl. It's the perfect blend of Granola, banana, blueberry, strawberry, coconut flakes, and honey. You can even add protein! I was so happy to find Organik bar . I love açaí bowls and I think this is the only one restaurant that offer them in the area . Very cute place . Super friendly stuff . Only organic and fresh products . Great menu options with açaí and coconuts bowls . And their fresh juices are so healthy and delicious .
