Manger refuse to sell me and my brother a Switch 2 because we didn't want to renew our Pro Membership. Shoutout to to the Veterans location for having competent employees
Conversation for context: Me: "Hey do y'all have Switch 2s?" Manager: "Of course" Me: "Okay cool, we wanted to get one." Manager: "Do you have a Pro Membership" Me: "Maybe? I'm not sure" Manager has other employee looks up my number Employee: "It seems your membership expired and you need to renew it" Me: "Nah we don't want to, we don't come to GameStop that often and mostly do digital games" Manager: "So let me ask you this, if I had just 1 Switch 2 left and I had to choose between selling it to you and to someone with a Pro Membership and I picked them, how would you feel?" Me: "I mean.....it is what it is?" Manager: "No don't give me that, you know you would be pissed. Cause what's the difference between your money and theirs?" Me: "I mean yea but I don't come to GameStop that often to even use the membership" Manager: "Well, we goin have to renew that membership because I got to take care of my Pro Members first, and I cant sell you the Switch without it" Me: "You serious?" Manager: "Yep." Me: "Okay we'll just go to the other GameStop down the street" Manager: "They goin tell you the same thing when you get there." Read moreWent into the store today and got a game that I was looking for. I wasn't greeted at all. I went to the sales counter and said I was picking up something that another store had called for me to put on the side. The manager was very aggressive on why I didn't preorder. I told him nicely that I didn't. He was very forceful about it. I understand sales demand though but he repeated it in an aggressive way. I told him that I just didn't I was in the area picking it up so I wouldn't go to the competitor. Then also the associate at the counter tried to put the protection fee on there without asking. I caught it right away and I told her I would like for that to be off I never agreed to it.
Then he wanted argue me down on why I didn't want the pro rewards and I told him I don't shop here often. He was just really being debating about it and I was only there for that item.
I will not be returning to this location or establishment. This has been the 2nd time I have been treated like this. The associates and managers are very unprofessional. They need to be trained better and also show respect to...
