This was my first time at Einstein bros so I didn’t know what to expect. The location is beautiful! There was a line and a customer next to me that somehow required 4 employees to huddle around the POS system because a discount wasn’t being applied. My CSR was a part of the 4 employees. She was distracted, understood. I ordered a half dozen bagels with spread, 2 BE&C bagels, and 3 pup bagels. I stood at the register for 2 minutes after inserting my card and removing it. I took my receipt because my CSR was still too focused on the other POS system. I was not informed that I was supposed to grab the spread from the fridge. Again, it is my first time here, other places have it behind the counter. My assumption is that it was for customers that just wanted spreads/juices. I also didn’t receive the pup bagels. Again if I was told, I would’ve happily gotten the two by itself, but I wasn’t told. I was given a “sorry” after I took my receipt and went over to the side. After driving AN HOUR home, I noticed that the puppy bagels and spread weren’t in the bag. I called and had the displeasure of speaking to Chelsea, the so called manager. She needs to be retrained on customer service skills. The way I was spoken too was disgusting. I asked to be refunded for the spread, and she said “well are you going to bring the bagels back then too?” Excuse me? Why would I drive an HOUR back to your location for spread? She said that I just wanted to get items for free so I need to return the items. Listen, if I wanted something for free I wouldn’t go through the hassle. I work hard for my money, and am not happy that I was disrespected like that. What a way to be introduced to Einstein Bros. This makes me not want to come back to the chain period. Update: I got an automated reply back on my review, but I have yet to be contacted by corporate....
Read moreIn this economy, $15 for a grab and go meal everything must be great for me to want to revisit. When I arrived the employees were in mid-conversation, which is fine since I was looking around and at the menu. I proceeded to walk up to the register and look at the cashier, he continues to have his conversation with another employee, when I think he is about to greet me he does not and continues the conversation. Finally he does greet me in a very friendly and welcoming way. I do have to say all of the employees seemed to be happy to be working there, which is actually hard to come by these days. My food comes out promptly, followed by my drink. I did find it odd that there were only a few high top chairs against a bar counter on the wall. This is purely a grab and go establishment and not meant to stay to enjoy your meal, unless you are eating solo. I also noticed there wasn't accessible seating. I was pleasantly surprised that the bagel sandwich was as good as it was, however, the twice-baked hash brown was absolutely horrid - it was mushy, not crispy, a bit burnt ironically, and just blah - do NOT recommend. Finally, the vanilla cream cold brew tasted like cream with a dash of coffee. I drink coffee more than water (terrible I know) and I couldn't drink it. I ended up adding a double espresso shot to it when I arrived home which greatly helped. I know I could have asked for them to remake it, but I hate confrontation. I doubt I will visit this location often, as it is slightly out of my way compared to other establishments. I would only recommend this place for a group bagel order, however, the businesses going into the new strips in Ksaw on Barrett aren't all having success and we may see more and more close,...
Read moreI don’t know what’s going on with Einsteins. I’ve been ordering from them for years. This location barely has any bagels and I went in for two dozen bagels. This was more than the cashier could handle and she walked away and then the manager came out and took the order. I had previously tried to call in the order and was told to order online, but I couldn’t order online because I couldn’t select the bagels they were pre-selected. So I get the bagels and the young black gentleman tells me he doesn’t know how to put the smears on the box so I had to figure out how to put the smears on the box, he calls the girl who’s making the sandwiches and she said she doesn’t know how to put the smears on the box either. I’m referring to the box of a dozen bagels. then I asked for some plates, but obviously this was going too far because the young black gentleman told me they didn’t have plates and then the manager came out and scolded me for asking for plates and said if I should’ve done online order. While the original girl who was waiting on me is staring me down. It was all too much you gonna tell me I should have done an online order? when I couldn’t do an online order. Really? I won’t be returning to the store. Oh, and of course they messed up the sandwich order. Why...
