I wish I could give it no stars this was my first time eating there after seeing it in passing and it was horrible. First the tables were dirty we had to clean off our own table just to be able to sit down and eat. The cashier looked off at the cars riding down the street as I was giving him my money and order (as if he could care less). When they called my order they sat it on the counter and walked away before I got to the counter to get my food. When I got my food my burger had been pressed so much it was crunchy. My fries were a little over cooked in old grease. My friend got milkshakes for her kids they were like chocolate syrup in a cup of water. Then something was wrong with the soda machine. It was buzzing sooooo loud that it desturbed the whole store nobody could hear or anything for about 10 min. They finally found somebody to unplug it after 2 employees and the manager tried. The cook came out and unplugged it FINNALY. But instead of the cashiers telling people something was wrong with the machine they continued to give people cups and let them get to the machine and see that it wasn't working. I wanted a milkshake myself but after all this I was not about to make my experience any worst. I also observed and stated to my friend that this was not the right staff for this location they were as dry as the meal not 1 smile in the whole building. I asked one of the employees if they had a1 sauce and he acted as if I was bothering him. I LOVE steak n shake and that's where I'll continue you go. I should have known something when I over heard another customer say they had one in Macon that didn't make it. 😟😟😟😟 they also pick and chose what to put on your burger but it was really nothing on it. I was the only one in the drivethru, they took my order, took my card, took my money (never gave me a receipt), and then I sat there for 10 minutes while watching everyone inside running around and filling inside orders. I had to be back at work and had no time to wait, so I waved at someone and finally got their attention, told them I wanted a refund. This woman comes up, I said it's taking too long and I want a refund. She closes the window and works on the computer for a minute, then says she doesn't know the new system for giving a refund and it would take a minute. Still no receipt given. I had to be at work and left, hoping maybe she would process my refund. Nope.
Just called up there, the woman knew who I was but said the manager wasn't there today. "You just drove off." Yeah after she said she'd process my refund. "That manager isn't here today, do you have a receipt??" No neither the girl working or the manager gave me one. I told her I was the only one in the drivethru when I got there and couldn't wait any longer. "We had your food literally right there, sir." I didn't want it anymore I wanted my money back, $9 for a cheeseburger meal is ridiculous anyway!
SLOW WORKERS, IGNORANT AND IMPOLITE MANAGERS. I am about to take 45 minutes out of my day to drive up there and get my money back. Then I will never again frequent this...
Read moreDisgusting. The restaurant used to to be alright, but new management is running Freddy's name through the mud. It looks like nothing in the dining room has been cleaned in months. You can see the filth running down the sides of the booths. There's never a clean tabletop, we have to ask for someone to clean. There's food on the floor, it's sticking to your shoes where you don't see food. The kitchen from the counter to the drive thru window all the way back to the fryers is beyond filthy. Fries, grease, bags, gloves, general trash... everywhere.
Workers seemed like they didn't wanna be there and it showed in their work, lack of a sense of urgency, and lack of cleanliness.
We hesitantly ordered then got a refund once we saw the kitchen. No one should ever have to do that. Ever. They were using a dirty cutting board and other dirty surfaces. (Got pictures)
The super on duty gave us heck when we explained why we wanted a refund. She started getting confrontational until the kitchen was pointed out. A supervisor should be able to handle criticism and FIX the issue we finally had enough of. Honestly I lost my appetite when I saw the kitchen alone.
We ended up driving to the one on Dallas highway which is WAY out of the way, but tons better. They actually care about their jobs and the customer.
