First time eating at Cinco De Mayo but it won't be the last! The service from the staff here was fantastic! This is a truly authentic Mexican restaurant with great traditional dishes. I ordered the Chile Relleno's, and my fiance got the Chalupa Deluxe . The beans and Spanish rice were fantastic, as was my Chile Relleno. They were tasty and flavorful without being overly spicy as some restaurants like Fuego tend to over spice their food. I guess if you make the food super spicy so your customers can't taste how bad their cooking is. 😅 Not to worry though, this place is great and won't disappoint for the price. My only complaint was that there was no ground beef in the Chile Relleno that was listed on the menu. I found out from the waitress later on that you have to request it now when ordering it. I'm only knocking one little star off because we requested guacamole early, but it never came. The table salsa was a little on the spicy side, so I figured my boyfriend and I could enjoy guacamole along with the salsa to even out our gringo boca's. It was on our bill at the end, and I had to request to have it removed. If it was gone before the tab was delivered, I probably would have just kept it at 5 stars and chalked it up to the waitress not hearing the request or forgetting to put it in. However, our neighboring table got our guacamole. 😆 Otherwise, everything was a delight! The food was amazing! The shrimp fajitas were absolutely fantastic! I'm new to the area, so I decided to check this restaurant out for lunch after church on Sunday. I have to be honest, the place looked a little sketchy when I first pulled into the tiny parking lot. But I was pleasantly surprised! A friendly welcome and quiet family seating with a few big screen TVs playing the afternoon NFL game. Chips and salsa arrived quickly. The salsa was a little on the spicy side for me, but I'm a gringo. I ordered shredded beef enchiladas and the seasoning was just right for me and the shredded beef was very tender.
