Used to be my favorite place, I always order the vegetable biryani. I ordered over the phone a vegetable biryani, chicken biryani and garlic naan. They asked if I wanted the bone in or out and I said, “It doesn’t matter,” and they said, “Bone out right?” and I said , “Ok.” They told me ten minutes. I arrive and as I go to the register she says, “Vegetable Biryani (something that sounded like gold) Biryani and garlic naan.” So I say, “ Vegetable biryani, chicken biryani and garlic naan.” She says, “ No Goat biryani.” I start to laugh a little because I think she is messing with me. I said, “No way!? Goat?! I had no idea they sold goat meat there. She walks to the kitchen and comes back and says, “They said someone said goat.” The woman seemed irritated with me, which was hurtful because it’s the same woman I see when I pick up my same order every time. Surely she knows I have never ordered goat, but she proceeds to ask if I eat goat. I told her that I don’t eat any meat at all. My son eats meat, he’s the one that always orders the chicken biryani. Then I asked her if she ate meat. And she said yes, goat. She tells me to wait 2 minutes and then comes back with the food. When I got home with it, I chose to not share the whole experience with my son and we just sat down to eat dinner. Automatically my son is commenting that the meat tastes different. He starts picking out the chunks of meat and inspecting them. He ended up throwing out his whole dinner and I did too after losing my appetite after the exchange at the restaurant and then again with my son being disgusted by his food. I’m honestly not trying to disrespect anyone’s culture or diets, but being served goat was a wild experience. To top it off, I regrettably tipped the restaurant 20% my total was about $35 before that. Never again will I go to this particular Indian restaurant. I am now much more determined to make vegetable biryani myself. My best advice is make sure you repeat your order multiple times, the lady never went over my order, And I didn’t repeat it multiple times, just asked if I wanted bone in or out, so if you can’t order yourself online (and sometimes the price is more online though) then repeat your order. I personally won’t ever...
Read moreI'd give negative star if possible since one of their chain in Kennewick tried to cheat us by charging extra money without giving us any receipts. We had a table of 6 and had ordered a bunch of items. The restaurant employees spoke real smooth with us, but once we took care of the bill, the amount seemed way more than what it should have been. Initially they just took the money without giving a receipt, once I asked for it I got a receipt with the final amount printed on it. So my wife went back to the restaurant asking for receipt with individual items price. They hand wrote that in a piece of paper and gave us, we did the math and it was around 12$ less than what we ordered for. Once confronted they returned the money giving an excuse that they charged for one extra item without realizing about it. But we could see they were all pretty nervous when we confronted them. Now imagine they doing this for all customers everyday who are not paying attention to their final bill.
Response to the owner: Your response here doesn't show any apology at all, instead I hear some kind of justification of your wrong doing. Your register situation can't be an excuse for over charging your customer. What if I pay you less than what I should have paid and come up with some excuse about it? Please try to own your mistakes and you'd absolutely give my money back, what's there to brag about? Are you trying to say that you did me a favor that I didn't have to call the cops on you to get...
