This lady told me to shut up.
I've visited Pho Lao many times and have always had a good experience but today I was served a dish that tasted like dry dog kibble and it didn't smell too great either. When I asked if I could order something else I was told no very rudely and she said she would just see if they could fix it. She took my plate to the back and two minutes later brought it to me with juices that weren't there before and some new garnish. I did not eat it. I explained I would not be paying for something I did not eat when brought the bill and she got in my face finger pointed and proceeded to tell me she would call the cops on me told me it was my responsibility to pay told me if i didnt pay i couldn't come back and when i said that was fine I understand but im not going to pay she told me to shut up. I was 100% respectful the entire time until this point then I told her off my friend stepped...

I paid extra to get an XL vegetable pho and was pretty disappointed by how little tofu was in it. I also paid extra for more bean sprouts, good call because they give you hardly any. I should have paid for extra basil too, I got about 4 square centimeters of leaves for my XL pho bowl. Ridiculous. The broth was extremely salty, like it was from a can. If you have ever had good pho, you know that the broth carries the meal - it has to be bright and aromatic. This broth tasted more like Campbell canned chicken broth than it did pho broth, it was salty and heavy, with dulled flavor. Among the small amount of vegetables I received with my XL size pho was the core of a cabbage.
I know Tri cities is not known for its food, but this was ridiculous. I will take a chance on every other pho place in Kennewick...
Read moreMy wife and I eat Pho all over town and were surprised to find this gem. We ordered the combination pho, potstickers, mango bubble tea, coffee bubble tea and a side of sticky rice. Everything was delicious! The broth is very good and I think it is our favorite now. The tapioca in the bubble sea was cold and chewy and complimented the hot pho very well. The potstickers had a nice light crispy fried texture and the sweet chili sauce served with them was good. We will be back to try more menu items soon.
Update: We have eaten here several times and we always come back for the fried egg rolls and potstickers. The food is still amazing, the people are very friendly and do a great job, and we love the quiet cozy atmosphere. It's not busy and loud but calm and quiet, and we always just relax and enjoy great food and have a wonderful time every...
