The Village Bistro — Restaurant in Kennewick

Our experience coming for breakfast is generally fabulous. We arrived early, only 2 tables had guests. We were greated by a new girl w/ painted on jeans & a ponytail. She gave us our menus, we asked for coffee ☕️. I noticed that she took a cup of coffee to another table & chatted w/ them. Finally, she brought our coffee w/ a spoon in each cup, not good. I like to make sure my spoon is clean b4 I use it. We gave our order as she leaned casual back on the wall divider w/o writing anything down. She fiddle around then entered our order. I tried 2 get her attention for a refill on coffee, but she walked around with her head hanging down, it was obvious she needed more training. Our food was ready, the cook was trying to get her attention however, she was chatting with the same people. Another server brought our food, which was cold & she filled our coffee cup. I asked her if ponytail girl was new, she confirmed my thought. The service was horrible, ponytail girl needs to be retrained. Being a server is not as easy as ppl think, it takes excellent customer service & multi tasking skills. Shy people shouldn't be server's. We'll be back, however, we'll B sure to call & make sure our favorite...

We stopped in for an early dinner, and fully intended to have real dinner food, but then saw the burgers on the menu. TVB burgers are very good, as are the French fries and sweet potato fries. So, we enjoyed burgers (a Black & Bleu burger, and a Mushroom Swiss - substituting Cheddar) and both kinds of fries.

The staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful - making for a pleasant visit.

Finally, they also take Google Pay and Apple pay (NFC payment), which is fast, convenient, and protects your credit card. I really appreciate that payment option and use it whenever possible.

[2023-06-26 update] - stopped in for lunch after a long walk. I was going to have the special of the day (4-cheese Mac-n-Cheese with a salad), but my partner ordered a burger, and I got jealous and had to have one as well. Both burgers were great, but today's French fries didn't seem "special" - I thought they were going to be "beer battered", but they were just fries. Scorchingly hot out of the fryer, so no complaints, but still just fries.

The prices are also up, $3.75 for a soda (ouch), so be sure to...

What an experience...an absolute gem hidden in Kennewick, WA. I walked in to a place filled with warm smiles on every face, despite the building being full :-) I ordered a wonderful cup of black coffee and the shrimp fettuccini alfredo (like a sociopath) and ate every last bite. It tasted like a private dinner party to a world famous chef. It just got better as the flavors compounded. My server was very polite and attentive but not overbearing. I start to look around. I sip my coffee and see a group of retired gentlemen enjoying their meal. Nobody is feeling rushed to leave. As I'm enjoying the fresh shrimp and creamy alfredo, I overheard a conversation. "I didn't know you ate here?!" with a quick reply, "Doesn't everybody?" At this point I knew I was somewhere special. The Bistro had blown me away. The amazing food. The wonderful service.
