I visited this Popeyes location tonight (November 23) around 9:40 PM with my dad, and our experience was extremely disappointing. My dad was trying to order 2 spicy chicken sandwiches, 1 regular chicken sandwich, and 3 chicken tenders. The employee taking the order repeatedly got the order wrong. Thinking my dad’s voice might not be clear, I stepped in to repeat the order, but even then, he still couldn’t get it right at all even after I repeated myself 3 times.
At this point, a woman stepped in and rudely told my dad, “Can you speak clear, your English is horrible.” She then said, “Let the girl talk, she speaks better English,” referring to me. I was shocked and upset by her tone and treatment, so I tried to explain that English wasn’t the issue since I also repeated the order multiple times and they kept getting everything wrong, and in reality my dad was still in the process of ordering, and they just hadn’t let him finish (He was trying to add chicken tenders to the order, not changing it, but the lady didn’t seem to have the patience to listen). I tried to take a picture of the lady who said that to my dad but clearly she went to go hide in the kitchen.
The way my dad and I were treated was unprofessional, disrespectful, and borderline discriminatory. Popeyes is known for having bad customer service, but specifically the customer service at this location was the worst I’ve experienced in a fast-food setting. The workers here were not only rude and impatient but also discriminatory in their behavior. I would strongly recommend avoiding this location unless you want to be treated poorly and feel disrespected.
I took a video of when she was talking to us, but I wasn’t able to record the initial part when she made the initial rude comment to my dad, as I didn’t have the camera rolling beforehand, but I’m sure you’ll be able to listen to that part if you check the cameras. (I will happily email the...
Read moreI am in a unique position to live between two different Popeyes stores. The one to my north is a bit further but, more open road so it's faster to get to and from there. I'd rather be moving instead to sitting in traffic or at stoplights so, I used to travel north.
Normally, I am drive through person (almost for every fastfood place I get food from) Popeyes is no different. With this store the drive through lane is a bit narrow, I dont know what can be done to help us that have larger vehicles due to lot size. This is a minor complaint that I deal.with. The food is typical good old Popeyes, hot and juicy chicken, good biscuits and man-o-man, the red beans and rice (RB&R) I could probably eat all day. I discovered putting RB&R on 1/2 a biscuit is 1000% better than each by themselves. Try it once, I dare you, you'll never not eat the biscuits without putting RB&R on them AGAIN.
The Service at this store is more friendly than I've experienced in other Popeyes locations near me. Even that it's faster travel to and from the store to the north I've experienced and learned my lesson deal with the traffic and the lights because doing the math its faster service at this location (when I say faster, I timed my visit sitting in the drive through. 18.5 minutes, and that's being generous I started my timer after ordering). Mostly, its the time not wasted sitting in the drive through that I choose to purchase from this store. Besides the Lord might bless me with less traffic and green lights to get home with my RB&R on a...
Read moreWill racially profile you, My at the time teen daughter went through the drive thru, I placed the order for my daughter she hands me her credit card, a bald fellow/ perhaps he was a Manager at the window gives me the total and looks at me intently as I hand him the card, he then asks to see identification, mind you this is a 6 dollar meal, I hand over my license, thinking why would this guy be asking for my identification, he hands back the card and my license, my daughter and I have the same last name and of course different first names, we were parked he brings the food out, still looking at me intently/strange. I'm bothered by this and it's still on my mind a few days later, I call and talk to a female manager and ask her what is the policy for using a credit card and when is it necessary for identification to be shown, she tells me a license is asked when a meal is over a large amount, my daughter's order was less than 7 bucks, I told her my order was less than 7 dollars and that my husband frequents their restaurant and is never asked to produce his license and why is that? I told her my husband is white and I am black so why is that? She said that never should have happened to me and she apologized. I guess the bald fellow thought I didn't look like the name on the credit card and he thought he caught a low life credit card thief. Jerk. I in all honesty will never, ever darken...
