I've been here before and have always loved it but this most recent time wasn't the greatest. I called an order in for pick-up and when I arrived, no one acknowledged me. There was a man doing something on a computer who looked right at me but did not signal anyone to assist. There were 3 people working on food that were in my line of site and someone else who appeared to be on their phone. After a little more than 5 minutes, the woman on her phone came up to me. My food has been done the whole time. Kind of disappointing customer service. There was only one other customer inside waiting for food so it's not as if they were busy. My next frustration comes in that they made one of my rolls wrong. It was supposed to have unagi sauce and fish eggs on top. I asked for no fish eggs and didn't get the sauce either. When I asked for sauce on the side, they gave me the smallest side cup I've seen. My guess is it was 1 oz. They charged me $1 for sauce that was supposed to be on my roll. My final frustration came from my order of Edamame. The soy bean pods were way over cooked and had no salt on them at all. They were so over cooked that they'd lost their vibrant green color and were instead grayish. I was so disappointed. They just didn't taste good. I did give Soon's four stars because I've been here before and haven't had any issues but its been a couple years. I was so excited to learn they re-opened, unfortunately, the experience wasn't what I'd remembered. The sushi, less what I mentioned above, was good. It just wasn't five star quality.

Please. I’m begging Soon’s “sushi” lovers to get out of this town, have some GOOD AUTHENTIC sushi and then come back here and try this place. First there’s the outrageous price. They charged Nobu prices. The picture that has been added shows you what $100 of Soon’s sushi gets you. If you don’t care about your taste buds enough to treat them kindly, you might as well save some money and get yourself sushi from your local kwik trip. Biting into one of their baked mussels was reminiscent of those old peppermint patty commercials. However, instead of having the sensation of being magically transported to the top of an icy Everest I felt as if I was dunked down into a dirty seaworld fish tank. Seriously people! How are the reviews so high??!! For everyone who hates sushi because it tastes too fishy or slimy- it’s not supposed to!!! However from eating here you’d never guess that. I have a roller coaster of emotions after eating here…1st disgust, followed by confusion, then anger and now finally sadness. Sadness for the masses that gave this place anything but the 1 star it deserved. And a mix of deeper sadness & pity that whoever these 5 star reviewers are actually thought this is what good sushi tastes like.

Um...no. I ate here once, about 10 years ago and it was horrible. But... I've continued to hear people talk about it being good, so I finally went back today. Um...no. I got a simple Chirashi Bowl and Grilled Squid app. First, the Grilled Squid was served with a bowl of spicy mayo. I've never seen that before. Just spicy mayo...to dip...? Ok..... Then the Chirashi arrived. Chirashi is a very simple dish of what should be their top grade sashimi, over rice. Whole it arrived in a cute little box, the fish itself varied from boring to tasteless, to "tastes of bleach." Really, only the Salmon was decent. I don't understand fish that doesn't taste like anything at all, and I really don't like bleached fish. Between the two dishes, I have to soak it all in so much soy sauce, that I think my tongue is now pickled for life. I truly don't understand the great reviews. I travel for a living, so maybe I've just eaten too much sushi and my standards are higher. Um...no.

I have gone there numerous times in the past. The sushi is always fresh and delicious. The atmosphere and the decor sadly leave a lot to be desired. I welcome change on a menu in a restaurant but if I'm not mistaken the the menu has changed at least twice this year, unfortunately for the worse.

This visit was quite disappointing. It was the second time bringing my friend there and I have to confess that each time I walk in there it makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen judging by the surroundings in the dining room . After ordering cocktails and appetizers upon arrival all of the sushi rolls seem to look exactly alike. Ugh...The row and crab toppings that apparently used in one way or another was on each sushi roll (out of "6 rolls") was super salty and ruined the experience, nonsense. I made mention of it to the server as well as Soon's husband and there was no discount or option to redo the rolls. 😒 Hated the change! It seemed like there was no variety. In the past I have gotten some beautiful trays, gorgeous elaborate rolls, well worth the money . Admittedly all I could keep thinking was that the sushi rolls at Woodman's would have been a much better option. In retrospect, there was A LOT of tempura incorporated in the roll menu which is a cheap way out, maybe hoping that the novice might not catch that right away .With tip we dropped $145.00😒😒 On the upside the server, Monica, was super nice and very accommodating throughout our meal, I recommend her highly... Give the place to try and you...
