1/2/23, I came with my brothers, his wife and cousin. Tried the Apple cider mimosa, goddess smoothie, affogato with vanilla ice cream (pictures below). I ordered the Turkey Cran Pear & Brie Sandwich and I thought it was so delicious, the slices of pear were fairly thin so it wasn’t weird in the sandwich. All the flavors were so good that I would want to recreate this at home because it was so yummy. My brother ordered the Cuban sandwich and he said this is the best he has had thus far! I was impressed. He said the only thing he wished was that the ham was a bit crisper - I told him next time he can request that it be well done. My sister-in-law ordered the Hot Tuna Melt Sandwich and I don’t like tuna but I like it now! I had a piece of her sandwich and I loved how they sprinkled some old bay, never would have thought of that but so delicious! Everyone had a great experience! The food again was phenomenal.
I came back to La Gelatteria today on 12/26/22 with my brother and we ordered a bunch of new items. I got the fresh basil egg scramble, strawberry Nutella croissant, a butter cookie latte and salted caramel latte to go. My food was so fresh and delicious, the basil on the eggs hit! My brothers bagel with egg, cheese and bacon was fresh too! Bagel was fluffy and he said he loved the scramble eggs on his sandwich. He also ordered the captain crunch French toast, he really enjoyed the fresh fruit that was added to his meal. We left with full tummies. Another great experience here! Will be back with more friends and family. This place is a hidden gem.
On 12/14/22, I ordered the egg sandwich, captain crunch French toast and honey bourbon chai latte. The location was clean, easy to find, lots of parking. Employees were super kind and the food was the best! I want to go back and try more items. Forgot to take pictures because the food was so delicious and...
Read moreI came here from out of town with a local friend. I enjoyed the food, however my friend who recommended the place received their order wrong. They asked for a a fried egg over hard, they took a bite and realized it was runny. They told the counter staff, which they then took back. The kitchen had put the egg back on the grill after my friend had taken a bite out of it. Needless to say, this is a major red flag because not only was the egg bitten and put back on the grill where I can only assume other food is cooked on as well, which is unsanitary, there was literally families with their kids eating here after us. This is a huge health code violation. If the food was untouched then maybe I could wrap my head around justifying to put it back on the grill but this food was already bit into and has the saliva of my friend on the food to put back on a grill with other customers food. If it was a matter of penny pinching to save 2 bucks we would’ve happily pitched in for a new egg if it meant not cross contaminating my friends food with freshly cooked meals for the next patrons. Hope the restaurant realizes sooner or later their best bet would be to just remake an order rather than throwing half eaten food on the same grill everything else is cooked on potentially getting someone seriously ill, either that or the health inspectors get to the bottom of it. Again, the service was great the staff is friendly, but this is a serious concern as it violates ethical and...
Read moreWow, we happened to find this gem of a place on the way -- by way of a Google Maps search -- to my wife's appointment in Wheaton. Run by a nice gentleman and supported by a young and very friendly wait staff, this brunch place is very quaint but is located where a few other food and wine establishments are housed. The building looks relatively new. Anyway, we enjoyed some great breakfast food (Belgian waffle for the wife, i had a breakfast egg -- actually egg white -- sandwich with bacon). Everything was delicious and fresh. We also enjoyed the (many varieties!) Gelato served here (since lactose and I are no longer friendly, I tried the dark chocolate made from almond milk and the vegan salted caramel). Oh my goodness, how great, delicious and seemingly decadent it is (yet the vegan and plant-based options make you -- and your stomach -- feel less guilty). The atmosphere is nice and quiet but casual (think of an upgraded more comfy Starbucks with wifi). Coffee is great too. I recommend this place highly. We live in Bowie and hope and pray that one day we will see places like this in our area to patronize. You will not be...
