Might be the worst food place in Silver Spring. I ordered a pizza, french fries, and two cheese steaks. When I got home to eat my cheese steak a few hours later I wasn't expecting to go on a scavenger hunt for the meat in the cheesesteak. When I opened the first cheese steak to eat it I thought maybe I was given a vegetarian sub by mistake. But no there was a little bit of meat there I had to go search for it. So I open the second one and the same thing there was almost no meat. So I called the shop and ask them if they had perhaps given me a veggie sub by mistake. To my delight, I got the worst a-hole on the phone who claimed to be the owner. In fact, he claimed to be the dude that made my subs. His defense for how little meat was in both subs was I've been doing it this way for 20-something odd years instead of saying yes I skimped on your sandwich I apologize come back in so we can make it right. But no he sat on his ground and would rather die on his hill metaphorically along with any sense of taste that that sandwich stood a chance of having on any pallet, so screw this place. I can forgive an honest mistake. I will not forgive foolishness. But it's not the ingredients fault so I'll not let his bad behavior ruin my review of the food for what it was.

Taste-wise I would say the pizza was at about a 6/10 and the subs were at a 2/10. If I wanted a vegetarian submarine sandwich I would have ordered a submarine vegetarian sandwich. If you're looking for a Cheesesteak I highly recommend not using this place. Go to Charlie's or go to your local carryout, anywhere but here. I challenge you to find the meat on the subs in...

I recently visited Continental Pizza in Kensington, MD, and unfortunately, I have to say that it was a major disappointment. The pizza was undoubtedly the blandest I have tasted in Montgomery County. It lacked any flavour or depth, and even the toppings tasted as if they had no seasoning or seasoning that had expired long ago.

It was clear that the restaurant had fallen from its prime. The decor was outdated, and it felt like it had been stuck in a time warp, at least two lifetimes ago. They still use physical punch cards and punch machines for their employees, which is quite archaic, and not what one would expect from a restaurant in 2023.

Furthermore, the restaurant only accepts cash payments, which is inconvenient for those who do not carry cash. In today's world, where most transactions are made through electronic means, this felt like a step back in time.

In conclusion, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, not even my worst enemy. The lack of taste in their pizza, outdated decor, and cash-only policy makes it a less-than-desirable dining option. I suggest exploring other pizza places in the area that offer a more enjoyable experience, like...

This is another place I love in The Kensington , Maryland are. This is Called Continental Pizza . This place is across the road from Safeway and next door to other businesses and this store survived through a lot over the years . This place has the best Subs and Pizzas in town you can ever want to order . as You enter through its doors it has a good sized dining area but mostly it has pick up and order in . I Love the subs and pizzas both they have great staff behind their counters and its Cash Only Deal when going there , No Credit Cards Or Debit . Its Family owned there and Its been around for a long Long time . Please treat this place well since It has served the public well to all of us for years . I would love to come back o this place again soon . This is my favorite pizza restaurant besides the others I know out there . If you love this restaurant as I do , We look forward to seeing you all...

Have been telling everyone for 20 years this is the best sub place in Maryland. Haven't been for a few years so when I found myself in the area I stopped in for a sub. I was surprised there was new management because this place was an institution in Kensington. It was always busy because the food was so good. I was also overwhelmed by the musty stinking smell when you walk in the door. I stood there for a second and turned around and walked out. I checked the other recent reviews and people are saying the food is still just as good but I will never know. It's easy to find from the street and there is parking in the 7-11 lot. Go at your own risk.

Continental has awesome Steak & Cheese Subs. The bread was nice and it had all the classic fixings for a loaded sub. They also used quality provolone too which is essential in any good grilled hot sub. Most of all, the sub was NOT too greasy. It was nice to eat a sub without having a stream of grease emit from the sandwich. A little bit is okay and expected, but too much makes it too messy. So, A+ on the subs! Ordering online was easy to do and my order was ready for pickup in less than ten minutes. Highly recommend if you have a sizable appetite and are in the area looking for a no-frills, satiable take-out meal.
