Subpar dining experience
Went on a Friday around 5pm. There was light traffic in the restaurant, maybe a 3rd full.
We were immediately seated, as there were not that many diners there. My wife and I ordered two draft drinks. They were brought out and they were flat, both of them. We let our server know that our drinks were flat and this is when our dining experience went south.
Instead of apologizing and taking the flat toilet water we were served, she left the drinks on our table and told us she would speak to the manager. She came back a few minutes later and let us know she told the manager and asked us if we wanted water. We said yes, but really all I wanted was the carbonated IPA that I ordered.
Our food comes out and still no fresh drinks. I ask her if her manager followed up with her and she stated that, āHe said everything is fine with our taps.ā So was she implying that my wife and I were liars?
We let her know that we wanted our drinks replaced. My wife ordered another draft cider and I ordered another draft IPA. Well, instead of brining out our ātallā drinks, they brought us shot glasses of our drinks to make sure they were āfizzyā enough for us. After another few minutes, they came back, asked us if they were ok and after we said yes then they brought our drinks.
I should mention that in between this they remembered to tell us about their pint specials. As I was taking my family out to a movie, I opted for the pint (as did my wife) instead of the ātallā. This cost them a 38% loss of profits on the drinks, as the pints were much cheaper.
If they would have dealt with my issue in a quicker manner I would have probably drank 2 ātallsā and they would have more than doubled their drink profit.
The food was fine, nothing to write home about. The wings were fine and the sauce was good. Ordered celery and carrots with my wings and was given about 5 celery spears and about 5 baby carrots!
The menās bathroom had urine all over the floor and no paper towels. Again, there was HARDLY ANY ONE IN THE RESTERAUNT! Inexcusable! I know this is a ācollege barā, but we were not there during āparty hoursā.
In addition, though it was a short time, we waited a few moments before being seated. There were about 6 servers loitering in the kitchen area before someone noticed and came out to seat my family.
This restaurant would be better severed by a manager that focused on customer service as opposed to making paying customers (Iāve been there 3 times in the last week, including a business meeting) feel stupid for not sucking down flat draft drinks.
There are a lot of good eating establishments in Kent. If part of your dining expectation is good customer service, you may want to consider...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy family comes to BW3 every Friday. We come in with a party of 4 and ask for a larger table as there were 4 available just in the small section around us. The host told us no because they are saving them for bigger parties, no one else came in the whole time we were there at 7:00. Our waitress displayed her attitude immediately after I requested to move to the larger table adjacent to us and she also told us no. We order our drinks quickly to avoid her snippy tone and she brought the wrong drinks. Then, as we place our 20/20 wing order with 4 sauces that we order every week, we notice the light thatās still burned out above the table next to us, we noticed this first 2 months ago. That tells you about the attentiveness of the management. Our waitress came back and told us we canāt do 4 sauces for our 20/20 deal. When I displayed frustration and tried to explain that we have gotten this every week, she told me sheās not dealing with attitude and will not be serving us. I spoke with the manager who told us that every server is different and our server did not feel respected so she will not be serving us. I expected the manager to offer us a different server or come to an agreement, as this is the worst service Iāve ever had, but nothing was done and she blamed us for the servers hasty attitude. For their prices, it is ridiculous that I could not have a bigger table where all of our elbows didnāt touch. The manager was incredibly young and obviously inexperienced at management as Iāve seen this place rapidly decline in maintenance, cleanliness, and service. The server didnāt even bring us the check for our drinks so after 10 minutes we had to find the manager and ask to pay her. Every time I come here I spend over $100 and am appalled to have been treated with such distasteful service. My family left and we went to The Basement in Brimfield, our waitress was a complete 360° from the service we received at BW3. I would not recommend anyone come here, there are better wings and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEight years ago, my experience at this establishment was far from ideal, and despite a lengthy break, not much changed on my recent return visit.
Came here for lunch with my wife and our 19-month-old daughter, a decision we regretted almost immediately. The restaurant's arrangement seems to cater more to adult patrons, favoring high-top tables throughout with only a limited number of regular tables. These were mostly occupied by a large birthday party, leaving us with the short end of the stick.
Our family was relegated to a corner table, evidently meant for two, hardly the right fit for us. Moving around was a challenge ā my chair was wedged tightly between the table and stairs, not leaving any room for me to pull it out.
The menu didn't treat us kindly either. They were out of three of the items we were interested in. To top it off, our appetizer decided to make its entrance after we'd already received our main course. A case of poor timing, indeed.
Our server was efficient, though, and the food was adequate. However, the entire experience left much to be desired.
It's hard to shake off the impression that this restaurant is tailored more to a crowd that values a pint and a large-screen TV over a wholesome family dining experience. Their preference for small high-top tables gives off the feeling that they are trying to appeal to adult males who wish to enjoy a drink rather than families seeking a comfortable and enjoyable meal.
