Initially, I had been a huge fan of Laziza in Kent. Super clean, friendly staff and great food and drinks. However, my recent visit was not so great. My sister had been in from out of town to celebrate my bridal shower and we wanted a nice, chill place to get a drink after the shower. My sister had traveled and unfortunately had picked up a virus and ended up getting sick at the restaurant. The wait staff was incredible. They closed the restroom for her, gave me the supplies I asked for in order to take care of her and the restroom. Truly amazing and so compassionate and I could not be more grateful for their help. However, when leaving, it was brought to my attention by my friend and brother that the bartender had been making faces and rolling her eyes the entire time my sister was ill, and while I was taking care of her. Regardless of the level of the illness, I did not ask anyone to help me clean the bathroom and took care of changing the garbage on my own accord, because in my mind it was the right thing to do for my sister. The lack of professionalism on her end is unacceptable. God forbid anyone get sick in public, you'd hope that someone would have the common decency to treat them with some sort of dignity, especially when taken ill. Because of this instance, I will no longer be dining at Laziza. It takes no effort at all to show a little bit of compassion-especially when someone is...
Read moreOverall I love this restaurant. I’ve been a couple times recently (Autumn 2024) and love the atmosphere, service and much of the food. Every appetizer I’ve tried has been delicious, including the vegan Laziza sampler, crispy cauliflower and Brussels sprouts.
However I was disappointed by the plant-based entrees I ordered. I recently got the stuffed portobello mushroom which was quite bland. I don’t feel like it lives up to its price. On another recent trip I ordered the Zoodles (zuchini noodles) dish, which had a watery/vinegary sauce that was very sour and overpowering by the end of the dish. And my stomach actually felt upset after I left the restaurant. I last got the zoodles dish about a year ago (Autumn 2023) and it was very different; it had a rich creamy coconut milk sauce which was divine. I asked our waiter if the recipe had changed recently and they confirmed it did change about 6 months ago (Spring of 2024). I was sad that one of my favorite dishes of any restaurant no longer existed. I haven’t tried the portobello mushroom before this week (Autumn 2024), but now I’m curious if that recipe changed in the past year too. After I asked the waiter about the zoodles the manager came to hear my feedback about the dish, which I...
Read moreWe had such a lovely dinner last night at Laziza. Here are the things we loved:
Our host was excellent. He greeted us in a friendly snd professional way. We wanted to sit outside, and he took us to a beautiful outdoor table. Our server was also exceptional. He truly knows the menu and how each item is prepared. I am on a temporary, but very restrictive diet. I only had to briefly explain, and our server said he completely understood and that it was no problem. My meal was truly outstanding. I had salmon with a heavenly roasted red pepper sauce and my hubby had the Chicken Shwarma (sorry if misspelled). We are both still raving about how incredibly delicious it was ... and how fabulous our server was! The dinner drinks and prices were beyond fair, especially given the high level of service and the superb food quality. The atmosphere was upbeat, friendly, professional, and so very clean. Loved it!
The entire experience was a huge thumbs up! We would highly recommend Laziza and can’t wait to return! ...
