June 10, 2025, Today, we had the pleasure of visiting Chasni Indian Sweets and Kitchen, and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. We decided to try a few different dishes to get a good feel for what the restaurant has to offer. We ordered golguppe, Amritsar kulcha, fish pakora, and mango lassi, and I’m glad to say that most of them lived up to expectations!
The golguppe were crisp and fresh, bursting with flavor. The price for these was reasonable, making them a great choice for a light snack or appetizer. The fish pakora was a definite standout—perfectly fried with a delicious crispy coating and juicy, tender fish inside. It was probably my favorite dish of the meal. The mango lassi was thick, sweet, and refreshing, balancing out the spicy flavors of the savory items nicely.
The restaurant itself is spacious and very clean, which made dining in quite comfortable. The atmosphere felt relaxed, and there was plenty of room to move around without feeling crowded. The service was also excellent—our server was friendly, attentive, and made sure our order was taken promptly. Even better, the food arrived quickly and piping hot, which is always a bonus.
The only dish that didn’t quite hit the mark was the Amritsar kulcha and chole. While the kulcha was fresh, it lacked the robust flavor I was hoping for, and the chole could have been a bit more seasoned. Still, these small misses didn’t overshadow the rest of the meal.
All in all, it was a great place to enjoy a satisfying Indian meal. The variety of dishes, cleanliness of the space, and excellent service really made this visit memorable. I’d definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking to try some authentic Indian street food and sweets. I’m looking forward to coming back and exploring even more...
Read moreStumbled upon this place on random google search and read great reviews about Indian sweets thus gave it a try when visiting Seattle . As I am from Denver , finding fresh Indian sweets in Denver is next to impossible. Went in there and was impressed by the ambience. As it was evening and raining , ordered chai , samosa chat and malai chaap. Chai was good , samosa in samosa chaat was refried and malai chaap was also average. Nothing as flavorful as it sounded and service was also poor. The order was taken and then the server vanished. Came out with the order and vanished again. Had to wait 5 mins to get extra chutney for samosa chaat and by the time it was given , the chaat was already cold. Only saving grace was the ambience but it doesn’t make the...
Read moreThe chicken tikka (included rice) was very tasty. However, we ordered 2 orders of it to-go but we were a little perplexed that we got a big container of chicken tikka but only one regular container of rice. Definitely seems like we only got one order of rice, not two. And it’s a good thing we were going back to the same place!! They didn’t ask if it was ok to combine the two orders.
Thankfully we can just make extra rice at home… but we paid for two orders. At $17.99 per order and a lack of rice, we probably won’t be coming back since other places nearby have better value… like, come on. Rice is the cheapest part why...
