I got my nephews a pass, but didn't realize it was going to worsen my tics the way it did. I have tics that affect my volume and tone of voice that I cant control. I took my disabled nephew there and they were pretty awesome about the whole thing. But I am going on my own a few times before I take my nephew again to get my Tourettes used to the stimulation so they are not as bad.
I really like that they have a system to ensure kids dont get kidnapped. That makes me feel a lot better about being physically disabled and taking my disabled nephews.
It is high stimulation, but not as much as places like Bullwinkles, so be aware of that if you have a sensory disorder. Also, if you have moderate or severe Tourettes, maybe bring earplugs or things to dampen the stimulation. But as far as fun for sensory disabled kids or families, I think this is a lot better than a lot of other places you can take kids.
The staff is pretty cool. I did get a little frustrated with two of the staff because I tried to ask the same question several times, but they interrupted to answer questions that were no where near what I was getting at. They were gen z kids, I am pretty sure, and I think maybe that was why we kept talking past each other, because the play cards sounded similar to a thing that really is not a thing much now.
So, in case you have never heard of play cards or are confused, you put the points you want on each individual card. Let's say one card has 100 and the other has 150, the card with 100, will not start pulling points off the other one just because they are attached to the same account.
I had multiple cards with a pass for a total of 250 points across all cards, and I was confused about whether the cards pull from the same bucket, so to speak, if they are attached to the same account. So, no, the cards pull from their own bucket, even if you have one account with multiple cards that share points. If you put only 100 of the points in your account on card a, and 150 on card b, then card a shuts off after 100 plays, even if the other cards attached to the same account have points left. They kept misunderstanding and telling me I get 250 points a day, which wasn't in question for me at all. And one time they even laughed, which i found very rude.
I understand some people who grew up with them or who were exposed to such things as kids would not be confused about that, but I was. I grew up in farm country and we didn't have arcades, and I only went here once in 1999 when it was tokens.
I did find it a bit rude that the two people kept not letting finish my question before jumping to answer a question i wasn't asking, then laughing because they thought they were having to repeat themselves. I found it pretty condescending. But in truth, they just were not understanding my question. I never had a chance to finish my question and about the time I thought I understood the answer, they would say things that confused me again. I asked a gentleman that is closer to my age and he immediately understood the question and answered it.
In general, I dont think even those two younger people were trying to be rude. I think they were just frustrated, too. I had no issues with them at all outside of the confusing way the play cards worked. In fact one guy i am talking about was very pleasant except that one situation. So, I cant fault them too much. I can tell they were trying and we were talking past each other.
I would appreciate if chuck e cheese would be clearer on the pass faq about this, because it really is not. Maybe they can use a bucket analogy. Maybe explain that even though cards share one account, the cards only pull from their own allotment of points and then they ahut off. At least I didn't find their faqs make that clear. Hopefully I am...
Read moreThe last few times I’ve gone here is crazy busy with a few people helping. Games trashed or broken. Apparently they have a new management team. The lady who’s been there for like 15 years Heather was amazing and always running around on her own trying to be everywhere I’ve interacted with multiple employees. Dale a new manager seems like he doesn’t want to help anyone ever and when we ask to do the jumping he sighs and gets angry about doing it. Employees are constantly on their phones and walk away from their prize counter. With the new managers they now shut everything down early like an hour before close. Which would have been nice to know so we didn’t buy salad bar and couldn’t order a pizza. Their blonde girl in game room is rude she talks about guest loudly to a short Hispanic girl and then she treats the kids very poorly at once calling one a brat and said their mom needed to teach them a lesson before she did. One employee with black hair she said talks loudly to where everyone knows she hangs out with a manager and drinks. Ramona is rude and has no customer service. Their cashier Monica looks like she would rather be doing anything other than be there and always roles her eyes. And I don’t even know who there new manager is because apparently they aren’t there when I am or they are busy in the back. So I’m not coming here anymore. I guess we will be taking our business up north to Burlington. And making our trips...
Read moreThese high rated reviews seem completely out of touch with reality. I strongly advise avoiding this establishment at all costs. It is astonishingly small, disorganized, and poorly managed.
I visited this location due to having $100 worth of e-gift cards, but now I am uncertain if I will ever get to use them. The state of this place was an absolute disaster. The self-service unit barely functioned, leading to a long wait in line. When I finally reached the cashier and inquired about using my e-gift card, she confessed that she had no idea and had to seek assistance from a nearby cashier. The way the other cashier treated her was absolutely appalling, and I felt terrible for her.
In the end, I was unable to utilize my e-gift cards, resulting in the need to pay with my own money. At that point, I should have just left, but for some reason, I decided to stay. It was a decision I came to regret. The place was a chaotic mess, with junk scattered all over the floor, ancient and worn-out games, and children climbing on and mistreating the machines. The staff lacked enthusiasm and seemed disinterested in providing a satisfactory experience. I strongly advise avoiding this location.
I will give the Tacoma location a try since I am burdened with these e-gift cards that need to be utilized. However, it is with a heavy sigh and a sense of...
