If I could give zero stars I would. We ordered lemon chicken, Fortune house rice, pot stickers, and hot and sour soup through 2Go Services, for a total of $55 (which is pricey) and was told our food would be delivered in 60 mins. 1 hr and 20 mins later I called and they said it was on its way. 45 mins later I started to call again but they pulled in for my delivery. I took our food and didn't say a word to the driver as I knew it was not his fault. We opened our food to find our lemon chicken, the only entree we ordered, was missing the lemon sauce. I called 2Go Services and told them we wanted a full refund. They called the restaurant who proceeded to tell us that they knew it was in there, they remembered putting it in the bag. After my hubby and I looked through everything again we informed them it was not there. The restaurant then told 2Go Services to send another driver to get the lemon sauce. We told them we did not want the lemon sauce, that by the time it would get here all the food would be cold, they are in Kent and we are in Normandy Park, and we wanted a full refund. He proceeded to say the restaurant was closed so he would have to call them in the morning, or they could go pick up the lemon sauce. WHAT? If they are closed and you can't then how can you get lemon sauce from them? I then told him I was on Google Maps looking at the restaurant's listing and that it showed they were open still open. He got back on the phone with the restaurant who then said they would give us a full refund if we let them pick all the food back up. WHAT? Our food was 2+ hours getting to us and then we didn't have our full order and they wanted us to send back what food we did have to get a full refund? What were they going to do with it? It had been in our house, riffled through, and they wanted us to repackage it and send it back to them to do what, serve to someone else? Needless to say we let them do just that as we weren't about to give this restaurant our business. I own a business and if I treated my clients this way I would be out of business. 2Go Services was just as at fault as they were willing to let the restaurant treat their client like this and they outright lied saying the restaurant was closed so they wouldn't have to take the time to deal with this. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE customer service on both sides. We order a TON of delivery food as we both work a lot. We were excited when we received our first 2Go Services magazine today in the newspaper as we were ready to try a new Chinese restaurant that had lemon chicken. I also am an event planner and refer a lot of restaurants for catering events. We didn't mind paying the $8.50 delivery fee for the convenience. Fortune Seafood Restaurant and 2Go Services just lost what would have been an excellent client had they done the...
Read moreDon't let the outside of this restaurant fool you, Fortune Seafood serves some of the best Chinese food I've had in greater seattle so far! The interior is also simple and clean. We came here for lunch as a family of 4 and ordered 4 dishes; we were so full and even had some leftovers to take home to enjoy later. Their prices are affordable and they give you good portions.
-Chinese Watercress in "sheung tang": veggies were sautéed to perfection - they were cooked and still had a good crunch to them. It is served in a flavorful soup base and was topped generously with garlic and SPAM slices (yes please!) -Deep fried tofu: when dish came, I was impressed with the presentations. You get 8 triangles of deep fried tofu and it is coated in this sauce. They top it off with fresh green onions. The tofu retained its crunch even with the sauce! One of my favorites of this meal! -Fish fillet & eggplant hot pot: this is one of my favorite Chinese dishes so I had to order this one to see how well they did theirs. It was AMAZING. The flavor was perfect and there was a good amount of fish fillet in there. They cooked their eggplant perfectly too (some places overcook them and are too mushy/broken)! -Dried scallop and egg white fried rice: this is also another one of my favorite Chinese dishes. Some places make their fried rice too oily but I am happy to say that Fortune Seafood does not! The flavor was a little mild but it was perfect to eat with all the other flavorful dishes we ordered.
I had a great experience eating lunch here with my family, the owner was very kind and friendly. I would say their food is pretty authentic too! Their staff was attentive and made sure we always had enough tea :) Definitely would come...
Read moreFortune Seafood Restaurant used to be our “go to” Chinese restaurant in Kent but today was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share my dissatisfaction of the food and service we received. The Shrimp Fried Rice is usually good but today, the leftover rice was way too hard and dried. Flavor was far too light that we had to add additional soy sauce and a splash of hot tea to make more edible. The Kung Pao Chicken was missing chili and Kung Pao sauce. Flavor was too light. Then the Shrimp and Lobster Sauce was savaged from what was supposed to be that Kung Pao Chicken but they made Kung Pao Shrimp which we wanted Chicken. They wanted us to accept the wrong dish but we refused it so they savaged the Kung Pao Shrimp and tried to pass it off for Shrimp and Lobster Sauce. Shame on them for being so low class this time. I grew up on Chinese food being Asian but this was a blatantly disgusting dinner we had. I’d also like to add that it is very common that a good reputable cook will move on or recruited by another restaurant if offered more money then the current restaurant is left to hire a rookie cook just to stay open for business. I noticed that tonight there wasn’t many...
