This is my favorite regular pizza place. I've been going to Canam (not just this location) for 18 years so far. I used to go to the Fairwood location until they closed, and have been going to this location ever since. They have the best pizza that isn't wood fired. Another great thing about them is the quality is always the same at this location, which is wonderful since I never have any issues when I order from them. In addition, I feel like they use more cheese and better ingredients than other pizza places. Though you should note that their prices are on the higher side compared to other places, but I think you get what you pay for. My main issue with them is that they lack stuffed crust as an option. So I end up going to other pizza places since I really would prefer stuffed crust and end up having issues at those places. As a result I always end up going back to Canam where I know I'll get quality pizza and always exactly what I order. I will say their customer service is a bit lacking as they're often rather curt when you interact with them, but I'd rather have that and never have any issues with my order than friendly customer service that results in the wrong thing and a refusal to make it right. Plus it can take awhile for them to make your pizza, so I recommend always ordering ahead of time online or over the phone. Also sometimes their estimate of when your order will be ready is inaccurate, so I usually add some extra buffer time to the pickup time they give me. Another thing to keep in mind is unfortunately this location's parking lot is very small and cramped. It also tends to be difficult to get in and out of the lot. I recommend being very slow and careful when driving in and out of it. The store is also pretty small and cramped, so I don't recommend trying to eat there. I've only ever done it once and wouldn't do so again. I wish they had a better location, but I put up with it for the excellent pizza. Maybe at some point they'll open one in Fairwood again since this location seems to always be super busy. I would definitely order way more often...
Read moreI have to say, the pizza here is nothing short of phenomenal--probably the best I've ever had, not just in Kent, but anywhere! However, the experience surrounding the ordering and delivery process leaves much to be desired.
In 2024, it's hard to believe we're still dealing with outdated technology and service that feels more like a chore than a pleasure. I've tried giving this place multiple chances, but every single time has been a letdown. I've called in to order three times, and each interaction felt like I was inconveniencing the staff. On top of that, my online orders have been late on two separate occasions--both times I had to call an hour later just to find out they hadn't even sent someone out yet!
The delivery guy showed up annoyed because I had already paid and simply asked him to leave the pizza on the doorstep.
So, while the product deserves a solid score, the atmosphere and service has consistently left me feeling frustrated. It's disappointing to see so many people in the service industry taking out their job dissatisfaction on customers. We work hard for our money, and we deserve better treatment. If they could just get their customer service and tech in line, this place would truly be unbeatable!
TLDR: just put the pizza in the box bro. it's not that deep lmaooo please -5/5 aura for customer service +2/5 aura...
Read moreI returned the pizza and Canam lost a regular customer.
Worst possible customer service. It's not about the food. Out of 100 times, it's statistically impossible for the pizza to be perfect every time. I called them to complain about the base of their kadhai paneer pizza, it tasted different in a bad way. I tell them it's either not cooked properly or has gone bad. Phone girl cuts me off before letting me finish and goes - "it's impossible that it's not cooked and we use fresh stuff, you're accusing our business of using expired products". Trying to imply the pizza is perfect and I'm either wrong or lying?? Then she goes - "Based on your delivery order history, I see it's because you've never had this pizza before. that's why you think it's different". I've had this pizza MULTIPLE times through pick up. even if someone hadn't had it before, should something new taste weird? Throughout the whole conversation she kept saying I'm accusing them and kept cutting me off when I just tried to tell them there's something definitely wrong and she wouldn't listen. She offered to send me another pizza that would be (in her words) "exactly the same- same base same cooking" (because there's nothing wrong with it, remember?)
No apologies given for my time wasted waiting for food and for the spoiled night because of her...
