I'd been coming to Ichi Teriyaki for many years when I still lived in Kent. It was always stupendous, with great presentation and memorable little salads (not just simple salads, but ones with broccoli and mushrooms and more) that came with the meals. Now? It is a poor shadow of what it once was. The teriyaki is plain and perfunctory, with just plain rice and doesn't even include a salad at all. It was barely even cut and not, in some places. Also, the inside of the restaurant is still in some weird COVID state where there isn't any Sriracha sauce or anything on the tables and you get a to go box when you dine in, not a plate. Sad. Also, the interior space for dining has been halved (as if to encourage you not to eat in), with a big airwall put in to stop you from sitting in the other half. Why? So I'm sitting there almost 1 foot away from people at the next table hearing loudly in my ear about their dating life. Again, very sad to see. This restaurant used to be the benchmark of teriyaki restaurants to me but now I think it's on the very bottom.

FREAKING AMAZING! This was my co-workers and I first time eating here and only ordered one thing we were really craving- Yakisoba! It was simply perfect, we did the combo which includes shrimp, steak and chicken. Every piece of meat had its own flavor and were perfectly grilled. Did I mention the size of the protein they served? These weren't the little pieces you usually see, they were large, hearty and in big portions. If you are looking for PERFECTION when it comes to REAL Japanese cuisine, you need to go there NOW! The gentleman that rang me up may be the owner, but told me that he was a chef for over 25 years and understands real yakisoba and doesn't recommend a lot of teriyaki sauce to keep the flavor. He was right, the flavor manifested all on it's own. I have already sent the pic of it to my partner and close friend letting them know I found Heaven. Big SHOUT OUT to the chef for finally creating something I can truly enjoy and brag about.

Some of this is just due to things that they can not control, like the prices went up. That part is expected. But then they take things off the menu , but leave them as a choice. A choice you cant have. They have taken out half of the tables. And it is not a nice place to sit down and eat, I don't think they clean much. I would suggest just take your cheap food and run away. And I mean cheap not in price but in quality. Today was my last visit, I will not be going back. there was not one thing about todays visit I can recommend. Not the good food, not the atmosphere, not the cleanliness, not anything good to see here.

My girlfriend and I ordered over the phone, and was recieved very warmly. The worker over the phone kindly waited to hear my order and double checked by reading my order back to me. Also, was almost down to the minute, on the estimated cook time, which meant a very breezy transaction with little to no wait time. Excited to try some of our favorite dishes, for the first time from Ichi, we took our order of beef broccoli, chicken yakisoba, side of kimchi, and side order of 2 eggrolls home. The beef broccoli was great becuase the ratio of beef to broccoli was balanced really well. I felt it was a beef dish. The beef was tender and in a sauce that wasn't overly salted, and kept the meat moist. I would definitely recommend this, both; if you're looking for a good broccoli beef or feel you know one. I really liked the chicken, personally, in the yakisoba. I'm not sure what they did but it had a very good grilled/crispy oustide to soft chicken. Also, even after transporting the noodles in a styrofoam, the noodles did not get soggy. They held a pretty consistent al dente texture that paried well with the chicken. In both dishes there were a prominent amount of vegetables, onions, and cabbage, and I especially liked how they julienne cut their carrots to go with either the yakisoba noodle or beef and broccoli. Their kimchi was a perfect side to our dishes. Not overly pickled nor fermented it tasted great and did well to reset the taste buds for the next bite. My favorite was the very aggresive kick of spice at the end that wasn't too offensive to the pallete. And although I'm not an eggroll person at all (I prefer gyoza/potsticker) the filling seemed more than decent and I have nothing to complain about. I would definitely go here again, bring someone new, and or recommend to anybody looking for better than just "good" teriyaki. Thanks Ichi for a great meal, I'm glad I took a chance on you. Sorry Sea-Tac teriyaki and wok, but I was in Kent at the moment. Otherwise I...

I just have to say that even though Uber delivered somebody else's order, I was very impressed with this place. I placed my mongolian beef order and I am a sauce freak so asked for extra, extra. I received a call from who I would assume was either the owner, manager or cook, explaining how they make the dish from scratch and that would do their best to accommodate my request. When I called them to let them know I received someone else's order, the gentleman on the phone was truly upset that I didn't receive the dish he had made special for me. I am a cook as well so I completely understand that. Needless to say, I ended up eating the incorrect order and although it was stuff I would never have the guts to order on my own, holy cow. Amazing and I can't wait to go back and try something else I would never order in a million years before this experience. Update: I received a call bak. WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE? I am truly blown away by the level of service and strive for perfection from this business. Although nothing was their fault, he actually asked if he could comp. my next meal. Very refreshing in our crazy, mixed up world. On a side note.....I even got a tutorial on how to prepare the food brought to...
