I'm a doordash driver and this store absolutely frustrates me at the midnight hours. Every McDonald's I've ever needed to pick up food from will absolutely force you to go inside unless it's 2am and the doors are locked, which is something easy to learn and treat as the norm. You would think that if the doors on your restaurant are unlocked, and there are actively people eating and ordering food in that I would absolutely be expected to walk inside to pick up my order. Here on the late shift hours you are ignored when standing at the counter, (that literally has a order pickup shelf) and actively told to move so an employee can mop. When I asked, after being ignored for 10 minutes at the counter, whether this McDonald's just prefers you to use the drive thru for orders I was more or less told that I'll be waiting till it's ready either way so I might as well use the drive thru. So I leave the store to wait in an understandable slow line only to literally see that same employee who was mopping go behind the counter and grab another door dash driver their order! I was literally sitting in the drive thru long enough to see at least a couple people at 11am use the ordering screens and pickup their food while I sat in a drive thru for an order id already went inside to pickup. It's beyond frustrating, and I absolutely will never be walking inside said store again unless they literally make me when I inevitably have to go through the drive thru. The only reason I'm not willing to give them a 1 star is because I do believe that the employees are nice, but for the love of God if you don't want to interact with in store employees on the night shift then just say so. Make a sign that says drive thru only, or use the drop off shelves you clearly have. Obviously my main frustration is other McDonald's in the area have literally told me I HAVE to walk inside for door dash orders even at 12-2AM, but this McDonald's will just literally ignore you until YOU feel the need to...
Read moreI have never had such a poor experience at McDonald's. Took a while to get our order taken with no one manning the front. No one even acknowledged us with a "one moment please," which is the only thing I ask for when the place is busy. I'm totally understanding and patient when simply acknowledged.
When cashier finally came, zero "hello" or smile from her; she who looked and acted like she was currently high or high so much in the past she was just burnt out. She didn't even say "may I take your order" or "sorry for your wait." Just at the register and looked up. My sympathies if she's having a hard time, but if that's the case, customer service just isn't the place for her.
I could overlook the customer service if not for the main point of this poor review: Our three meals were missing an item from EACH! Four items missing total (fries and milk missing from happy meal, water missing from nugget meal, drink missing from BigMac meal, NO napkins or condiments included). No apology from staff when we went up front several times upon finding our missing items one by one. I did flag down a young guy (Ronnie?) from the back who actually seemed to care and was apologetic. He should be up front. The middle-aged ladies there didn't give a crap about anything and shouldn't have customer interaction if that's not in their skillset.
Also, the BigMac patties were super thin with very little sauce added. And at this location, no condiments or napkins are located in dining room, forcing us to try to get them from busy staff when they forget them or underdeliver, as they certainly did in our instance. Now that McDonald's pays a decent wage and has inflated their prices so much recently, I certainly expect more from them and their staff. Yes, I would like a corporate or owner follow-up and restitution...
