This place is a hidden gem! I have no idea how they’re serving such high-quality food at such a reasonable price, but I’m not questioning it—just enjoying it. Well worth the 40-minute drive from Quincy, and I’ll definitely be telling my friends. From the outside, the restaurant gives off a cozy, family-friendly vibe, but the food is absolutely elevated. We started with the bruschetta, which was almost a meal on its own. Each thick slice of toasted bread was topped with a generous dollop of melted fresh mozzarella—so good! My husband and I had to take half of it home just to save room for our meal. We both ordered steaks. I went with the 9 oz Prime Filet for $40 with two sides. Holy cow—literally. First off, it’s rare to find a restaurant serving Prime steak, which is the best you can get outside of Japanese Wagyu. I also got the mushroom cream sauce on the side—partly because I wanted to try it, but also because a great steak shouldn’t need sauce. And wow. The steak was perfectly cooked, incredibly flavorful, and melted like butter in my mouth. Then I tried the sauce. I don’t know if I can eat steak without it ever again. For sides, I had the grilled asparagus and sautéed vegetables, while my husband went with the steak fries and asparagus. Everything was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. I was completely stuffed… and then I saw the desserts. I have never seen more beautiful desserts in a restaurant. Every single one is made from scratch, and they even take whole cake and cheesecake orders with advance notice (which I will absolutely be doing). I took a video of the dessert case, and our waitress told me it wasn’t even looking as good as usual! I went for the strawberries and cream cake, and my husband got the strawberry cheesecake (which he was too full to eat and brought home for the kids). WOW. Just WOW. The service was just as great as the food. Our waitress was super attentive, and the owner/chef even came out to personally greet our table. I’ve already sent texts to my friends—this is where we’re celebrating our next birthdays. I just hope it’s not too busy when the secret gets out!

I love Italian food. Someone said the spaghetti and meatballs was the best they'd ever had. I doubted it -- but ordered it. It, in fact, tied Ceasar's spaghetti (80s FM) for the best I've ever had. Paired with homemade bread bruschetta, it was a truly fantastic meal. Also, my husband won't quit talking about his truly Prime USDA ribeye (only 2% of American restaurants invest in actual Prime beef). Definitely recommend (and we haven't even tried the homemade strawberry cheesecake or key lime cheesecake going home with us yet).

Great menu with a large buffet. Great soups and a wide menu to choose from beside the buffet. A little bit of something for everyone. Large dessert case had a nice selection as well. Staff were all nice and able to accommodate food allergy questions with no problems.

I would give no stars but have to give something to leave a review. I dined in on 04/05/2025 with 3 other people two of us did the buffet and two ordered off the menu. Our waitress was new and could tell she was very nervous but she did an amazing job. One of the people who ordered off the menu got a pork chop and it was bloody raw. A waitress was walking by we got her attention she came over and told her about her she got our waitress told her to take it into the kitchen. They came back out tried to tell us that it’s normal and temps out. Of course we knew was a lie so they went back on the kitchen and top the owner girlfriend Nikki, she came out was screaming and cussing telling us they her cook is licensed and that he temps all his food before serving it. Which was another lie. Nikki continue to scream and yell when all we was doing was bringing it to there attention so that it didn’t happened to anyone else but instead they went about it in the total wrong was and very unprofessional behavior. The building was fairly full of customer's and Nikki was acting that way. As we was paying out waitress just kept telling us how sorry she was for how everything happened. Definitely not a place I will be returning back to. Eat there at...

My husband and I decided to try Gate City Restaurant. He enjoys buffet meals and this had everything. I enjoyed rice mixed with broccoli cheese soup. Meats galore! The fish batter was really tasty with a choice of whole or filets. Ribs were cooked to perfection with a yummy bbq sauce. Baked salmon had a delicious taste and there was fried shrimp too. Fried chicken or wings were coated delightfully. They offered soup and a full salad bar along with the meal. If you had room for dessert there were plenty to choose from after you dined. I loved our selection of meal and restaurant. As well as superb dining the wait staff was...
