KFC — Restaurant in Kernersville

Like others I have visited several times and the service/food quality manages to keep going downhill even further everytime. It does not matter what time you visit they never have any Extra Crispy or Grilled Chicken! Is this not a restaurant based on selling chicken? This location does not apparently like butter because they never have any of that as well.

This last visit, I came in and ordered their 12 piece meal. I ordered Mac & cheese and mashed potatoes/gravy. I decided to check the chicken due to how many previous screw ups and I'm glad I did. I open the tub to find one breast, one thigh , and 10 wings. Who wants to drop 35+ dollars on almost straight wings? Certainly not me. They said they didn't have any legs and ran out of the rest etc. So I tell them I'll wait. 5 minutes goes by and quickly the replacement chicken is given. I didn't go behind them thinking well they'll get it right since they could see i wasn't too thrilled. Nope! Got home opened the tub to find ultra soggy greasy dry old chicken. It was so greasy that the crust was no longer on the chicken. So drydthat my dog refused to eat it! This makes my final visit to this KFC after 5-6 visits over the past 3 years. The place needs a total overhaul of their employees and management. No one cares. Management doesn't order proper items such as butter, forks, and spoons. Only sporks. I've been to several other KFC restaurants even some that offer the buffet option and all of them carry basic eating utensils along with the sporks option. None of the others lack butter for biscuits/corn on the cob. If you're looking for fresh chicken that's actually available in the Kernersville area avoid this place and head...

Bless their hearts. Date visited 7/4/2019 I went in to order was greeted by a young lady cashier that looked so sad. I spritedly said "Hi !! Hope you are having a good day! Smile! She replied in a low voice "no" then a young male employee aproached the counter to join his coworker. I addressed him I said "hi i hope you are having a good day..smile a little bit"!...he said "nope I aint smiling" nothing to smile about"...then the manager walked up I addressed her and I said "Hope you're having a better day than these two because both are really sad and both say they have nothing to smile about. She didn't smile either and said "Ah they just sad because we have no business". Then I watched as another customer came in after all I had previously witnessed. After she ordered she stood there with me waiting. Both the cashier and the guy I spoke to then dissapeared and the lone manager made my order,bagged it and passed it to me. All the while the previously female customer spoke to me and said "what is up with these people, they act like to me they just don't want to be here. I've never seen such a down trodden group in my life. The quality of food was just indifferent not honestly good. But my point of this review is as follows: Dear KFC employees please remember any job doing is worth doing right. You are the face of your company if you are bored as your manager said try being upbeat...inviting...welcoming to your customers...and by all means SMILE!! Make the people that pay your salery(the customer) feel that you welcome them visiting your store . Your time on the job will go by faster because you will be busy with all the business you...

If KFC has been your go to place on Sundays then BEWARE... Our last trip is now fairly comical. You should know you're in trouble when you find an empty parking lot @ 1230. You should also know when you enter and over half the seating has been removed. Another clue is ordering an advertised new item and they don't have it. Then they hand you a box in a bag and they say they have no plates or butter. But, wait, they go to the back and bring you a cardboard "tray" to pass as a plate and tell you "no spoons or knives". The cashier wanders aimlessly and can't even look at you. Then it gets better: you go to wash up and there's no paper towels! I'm not a complainer but on the way out, I asked to see the manager. This small black lady finally comes to the counter and asks, "Whachu want, baby?" I told her first the food was still good. Then I asked if they were intentionally trying to run customers off or was today an exception? Now, I get the "tude". She immediately started with offering us "the plate" and jumped right to "since COVID...". I professionally cut her off and told her COVID had nothing to do with their problems (in 2025) but if losing business was the goal then they were excelling at it. She slammed "the plates" down like they were hot and started to walk away with her "tude" but not before she heard me say that this was inexcusable for any KFC so well known for their Sunday atmosphere. She said, "thanks, baby" (still walking). I told her I just wanted her to know this so she would understand the review and...I wasn't her baby! This was the most unacceptable encounter in a food chain restaurant and pathetically ridiculous! You...
