Mawmaws Chicken Pies — Restaurant in Kernersville

First time here. Yesterday drove close to an hour to try their pies. Bought a chicken pie and sweet potato pie as we decided to have have chicken pie instead of turkey this year. Decided to have a slice of the sw pie this evening, took a couple bites and quickly determined this for sure was the worst sw pie I've had in my 7 decades. Each bite was like eating a jar of nutmeg, no sweet potato to be found. I couldn't get this pie in the trash can fast enough and also couldn't get rid of the after taste it left. I can only hope the chicken pie doesn't ruin our Thanksgiving and Mawmaws can redeem themselves. Stay tuned.

Followup after Thanksgiving: While I will disagree w/Mawmaws about their sweet potato pie, I couldn't agree more with them about their no veggie chicken pie. It was outstanding by all measures. A great turkey substitute for Thanksgiving. Don't walk but run to Mawmaws and grab you one for any reason or occasion. It's great for me because I've got leftovers. Good...

Mawmaw’s Chicken Pies are the best! One thing that I really like is that they provide different options! You can get pies with just chicken, chicken and veggies or a spicy chicken! I have had all of them and they are all delicious but my favorite is the spicy chicken pie! Not only do they have delicious pies but this company is ran by 2 wonderful women! The very best chicken pies I've ever had. I have bought chicken pies from every Moravian church I can think of, from another local shop in Winston-Salem who has thier pies in Lowes Foods and I can tell you.
