Visited the grand opening of Savage Roasters new storefront this past weekend. Wife and I enjoyed an excellent iced Americano and the kids shared a Wild Berry smoothie. Nothing but positive things to say. Coffee was smooth and rich. Kids loved the smoothie.
Atmosphere is really well thought out here and reminds me of a noir/style laid back lounge from the early 20s. It's the perfect blend of new/old architecture with natural wood accents all around the room and warm Eddison-style lighting. They also have an impressive array of Savage Roasters branded merchandise. Everything from t-shirts/hats to tumblers and even dog bowls! The only thing I would even suggest adding would be a bookshelf or two with books/board games for customers to enjoy while they sit and drink their coffee.
Cool that this place is Veteran owned. I even met the owner Josh. He is super down to earth, very friendly and knowledgeable about coffee and the type of business he's trying to bring to the town of Kernersville - a place where locals can come downtown, feel loved, supported, and enjoy the best cup of coffee in town in a relaxing environment.
This is our new spot for coffee! Give it a try, you won't be...

I strolled in about an hour before close today asking lots of questions about their espresso machine & roasting process. I got to talk to the ownerās daughter (sorry I didnāt catch her name) who was pleasantly engaged in a conversation with me and incredibly knowledgeable. She then led me to her dad/owner who was back near the roaster and he let me watch a bit of the process while he patiently talked to me about their business, along with the fascinating sources of their beans across the world. As a former Starbucks partner for many years, I want to say Savage Roasters IS REAL COFFEE and what coffee culture should be about. PLEASE show some love to your community and SUPPORT LOCAL...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have came to this place about five times. The experience has never been good. I ordered a custom frappe that came without no coffee. I was told I needed to add espresso. So youāre telling me there is a frappe on the menu with no coffee in it? What frappe doesnāt have coffee? I shouldnāt have to specify that I want coffee in my coffee.
Today I came up to the window the girl smiled at me and then went about her business. I was at the window for five minutes, and nobody came to grab my order. So what is the purpose of this window?...
