We arrived at 10:40 am, and they were busy but seated right away. Our waitress greeted us and took our beverage order. Upon returning took our main order. During our wait for the food we had to request refills for coffee for both myself and my wife. She returned, filled mine and walked away without refilling my wife's. She did keep up with my son's soda refills. The food arrived, we we're informed the biscuits with gravy were to served later, due to biscuits being made fresh were not done. We requested again coffee for wife, hot sauce and more napkins. Pet peave of mine is one napkin per person without request for more. It shows being cheap to me. Waitress returned with hot sauce and coffee and walked away. She did not ask how our food was or bring the requested napkins. She was busy and acted like it without recheck on our food and lack of filling simple requests the first time. Our food was served cold up to just above room temperature, which should of been hot. A hostess/manager stopped by our table to do a quality check. We informed her of above and waitress never asked after food arrived. The manager comped us for the entire visit. When we addressed the waitress about it, she said she knew the manager took care of the bill, she never apologized for her part of it and acted like it wasn't her problem. I for one do not care for any part of my meal not made to order. Several times I have received food without a doubt was precooked ie hash browns, sausage, bacon etc. Therefore reluctant to partronize this location or chain. My wife that never complains, did so today and just not myself today. Needless to say that this location with the exception of how the manager dealt with us, thus the 2 stars instead of 1, failed today. From past experiences and this one, Bob Evans will be one of the last...
Read moreMen's restrooms were subpar. It smelled & looked as if someone was in a hurry to do a job he hated. The top ledge of the urinals was dirty. This can only happen if they haven't been touched for several days. The water that came out of motion-sensor operated faucet was very cold. It should be at least warm to be effective. Our server was taking care of many customers. She was also training a young man who is a heavy smoker. Every time he passed by me, I smelled his strong offensive cigarette odor. I believe he smokes inside his car with the windows closed. My wife ordered ham with her eggs & we were served double bacon. The scrambled eggs were not scrambled. They were folded like a plain omelet. The pancakes had 3" hair in one of them. The bun on my breakfast burger was flattened & soggy. The onion rings were overcooked & almost burned. We waited a long time to get the correct order & a refill on the decaf coffee. We eat breakfast at Bob Evans about twice every week. This was our first time at this location & it will definitely be the last. I recommend that the crew of the Centerville location on Far Hill Ave just south of I-675 retrain the crew of this location or at least bring in their manager to show everyone how it is done. These two places are different, like night & day. I owned & worked in restaurants for many years & I believe this is a management issue. I don't like to complain to get free food. I like Bob Evens & want it to be a better place. This place was not worth $36 for...
Read moreThe food was phenomenal. Exactly what we were looking for. The service was abysmal. It took almost 10 minutes to get a server after we were seated. They were just standing around, talking (the "manager" included), and looked in our general direction several times. Finally, after probably playing rock paper scissors, we got our server. It took forever to get our drinks and even longer to get our food, dropped off by someone else. As I said, the food was great. Our server never came back. We had to ask the manager for our check (he ignored me the first time I very politely called out for him). Then we had to ask for a to-go box for our biscuits and gravy. The manager actually rolled his eyes when I asked him. Speaking of the manager on duty, he very loudly declared that he purchased a Chippendale calendar for someone named "Debbie." He was more interested in attempting to flirt with the ladies working than actually doing his job. We'll never be back. Luckily, there's a nice, new Bob Evans on 48 we ate at a couple of weeks ago (it was more geographically convenient at the time). The service and food were both great. I HATE not leaving a tip, and when I tip, I tip large. I didn't...
