A busy location where all of the customers but me had bare feet. After all, it's the Florida Keys, right?
Waiting longer than expected at an early hour of the morning, I did not gig them for this as a busy location means a successful business. It's busy U.S. 1 - full of tourists, high school reunions, late summer vacations and Lobster mini-season.
Having visited several dozen Starbucks throughout Florida and the United States, this was my first time here. I was spending the weekend in Key Largo for my 30th Miami Southridge High School class reunion and needed coffee.
I ordered my signature drink - a "Bill's Morning Start." This Starbucks Secret Menu coffee is a six-shot Venti, four-pump Vanilla, one-pump Mocha, extra-fat, extra-hot, upside down latte. Regular price is $9.53 with tax. No coupon and no treat or free coffee available on my Starbucks Steel card.
For those of you wondering about the "extra-fat," that means breve' or heavy cream.
A drive-thru location with free Wi-Fi. Coffee was made exactly to specification and service was friendly and good. Chances are slim that I will return here as I'm never in the Key's but I wanted to report an overall good experience.

Read moreThis location closed at 7 pm. I went into the store at 6:25 pm. I ordered a medium coffee. The manager behind the counter greeted me as though I was annoying him. He served me my coffee borderline cold(lukewarm). I asked him if he could microwave it because it was not hot. He said that there was no microwave and he had to make a fresh pot since he was already in the process of closing. I told him that I would rather just keep my cup of coffee instead of him making a full pot. He never responded and proceeded to make the fresh put by slamming and throwing things on the process. He even happened to splash the old coffee from the filter on his coworker when he yanked it from the machine. Here, I am thinking that I would get a fresh HOT cup of coffee. NOPE! the new cup of coffee was the same as the first. I am sofa king disappointed. I urge you not to visit this location 45 minutes to an hour before their closing time. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the people in the...
Read moreI don't like giving negative reviews. I am a firm believer in second chances, and one bad employee or experience should not warrant a scathing review. However, my patience has finally worn out with this one. As a local resident and Starbucks addict, I have been to this Starbucks dozens of times. I have received consistently the slowest service of any Starbucks I've ever been to, and the sense that management does not seem to care. They have several friendly employees that look like they are making an effort (which is why I gave two stars instead of one), but this does not seem to help the ridiculous slowness of the drive-through, or the demeaning & disinterested attitudes of a few regular managers. One of whom has been particularly snotty with me on a few occasions when they misheard or mixed-up my order. I have reached the point where if I see more than three cars in line, I consider it not worth the wait. Very...
