Straw Hat Beach — Restaurant in Key West

This Beach is on the Navy Annex. One of the good things about this Beach is it's very private for the most part. Adjacent to ft Zachary Taylor but special access is required to get on the annex. There's not much else good though. Water isn't that clear, the water isn't that clean, the beach is very steep, and it isn't natural. No beaches on key west are natural. It's ok. Beautiful beach. Secluded. The store and eating area aren't open anymore but sure if that is due to the hurricane or if it's been a while. Came here with my dad and it's a great spot to relax. Tried to go here. Google had us trying to enter a locked down navy base. Tried to find another way in, you have to go through state park booth by Naval base and Amphitheater. We had just come back from Caribbean so gave up fairly easily once we found the long line to get in. Google maps has it all wrong...
