I rarely if ever write negative reviews but this place has Horrible rude service and owner - they dont hold tables for 5 mins when they say they will - then they leave you out to pasture in some unattended room on purpose with no wait staff when you tell them you have a place to catch and then very very rude when you complain - left and glad we did
Worst service on Key West by far.
Update - so the owner has doubled down in his rudeness in response to my honest review. Clearly doesn't get constructive criticisim. First I have written maybe a dozen bad reviews since I started over a decade ago -- sorry that is rare.
Second - I dont care what your rude and inattentive staff says - I wrote the truth and happy to place my crdibility as a former prosecutor for over a decade against yours any day of the week.Same for my girlfriend who felt he same way - in fact your unapoligetic post in response I think speaks volumes to future customers. Finally whoever you claim wrote this:
" Food was amazing!! Wait staff was professional and extremely courteous even when faced with very rude table seated behind us. Thank you for all that you do and please always be here when we come and visit"
Could not have happened as we did not stay - we left as your staff couldnt even find its way to our table and I told your staff that I would write this review. I guess they were referring to other upset customers unhappy with your service !
Been to Key West many times - been to many resturaunts - all were very good - never wrote a bad review about any place there. In fact Blue Heaven directly across the street (whcih is where we went back to after your rudeness) is much much better all around - went there every day we were there. Due to it being busy decided to try your place which was not very busy (and now I know why) and clealry that was a big mistake. Heads up to anyone looking for breakfast go directly across the street to Blue Heaven and wait if you have to - "La Creperie" is exactly as it sounds an arrogant, rude place which will leave you out to pasture when it comes to service. Go to Blue Heaven which reputation is well known on Key West and why recommended by our host...

As someone who once called Key West home, I’ve had the joy of exploring nearly every breakfast nook this island has to offer — and let me tell you, La Crêperie is in a league of its own.
Tucked right across from Blue Heaven, this charming little French café is more than just a spot to eat — it’s an experience. From the smell of fresh espresso to the sound of laughter drifting in from the street, it’s the kind of place that feels like a secret whispered between locals and in-the-know visitors.
This was my love’s first time at La Crêperie, and as someone who knows Key West like the back of my hand, I couldn’t wait to share it with him. It did not disappoint. The coffee? Smooth and rich. The crêpes? Ethereal. Delicate, flavorful, and packed with ingredients that make you pause between bites just to savor the moment.
Whether you’re going sweet, savory, or somewhere delightfully in-between, these crêpes are not your average breakfast — they’re the kind of culinary craftsmanship that transport you straight to a sidewalk café in Montmartre.
If you’re looking to elevate your morning beyond the typical eggs-and-bacon scene (and there are many in Key West), this place is a standout. It’s one of my forever favorites, and after this visit, it’s now one of his, too.
La Crêperie is casual, cozy, and utterly magical. The kind of spot that reminds you why Key West keeps...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing food and coffee. My wife and I loved the food and atmosphere here. We sat outside which was really nice even with a cold 64° key west winter day. I asked our server for a recommendation for a savory Crepe. He pointed out the #12 La spécialité de mansion with added bacon. With it being mostly produce based I didn't have a high expectation, being I prefer a more protein/meat based option. But alas, I wanted to try something out of my normal comfort zone. Man was that the right decision. This dish not only look appealing, it tasted even better. I even took my time to really enjoy the food. My wife also got the Benedict Gallete which she really enjoy. The seafood was cooked just right and the poached eggs were done perfectly. To top everything off we the La red velvet, the famous The berry coulis and the chocolate ganache well balanced throughout the dessert. The strawberry and almonds with the ice cream we're just right even on a cold day. I highly recommend La Crêperie French Cafe for all great crepe experience. And don't be afraid to try something new. Don't come here as an American and get something you can go to Denny's and have. Try something this establishment is known for and don't be afraid to ask for a...
