Im Inneren beeindruckt die Anlage durch dicke Mauern, Kasematten und die Vielzahl an historischen Kanonen. Man bekommt eine Vorstellung davon, wie massiv hier einst aufgerüstet wurde. Gleichzeitig wirkt vieles aber auch etwas nutzlos und überdimensioniert – viel „Feuerpower“, die nie wirklich gebraucht wurde. Fazit: Ein lohnenswerter Abstecher für Geschichtsinteressierte, besonders in Kombination mit dem angeschlossenen Strand. Vier Sterne, da die Ausstellung zwar interessant ist, aber etwas mehr Aufbereitung und Kontext vertragen könnte.
