I highly recommend this inn. It was built in the early 1900s and located in a highly desirable historic area of Key West. We stayed in the "Venezia" suite, which consists of one bedroom, a bathroom and closet. The bedroom featured a comfortable queen bed, a wall mounted television that allowed for connection to streaming services, bedside tables, a small dresser for clothing, and a mini-fridge. The bathroom featured high quality fixtures for what it contained: a shower, toilet and sink. As this inn is located in an older building, expect things to be a bit smaller that what you may be used to. The room itself could comfortably fit two people and no more. There wasn't adequate floorspace for chairs or a table, so if you hang out in this room, it will be sitting or lying on the bed. ||The common areas of the property more than made up for the smallness of the room and featured stellar decoration with an exquisitely laid out central pool area. The inn is on a relatively small property and they maximized every inch of the space through good design. You won't be doing laps in the pool due to its size, but it is very inviting and a beautiful centerpiece to the inn. The furniture, wall art and landscaping make hanging out in the common area the highlight of staying at the property. The daily happy hour provided by the inn adds to this experience and facilitates interaction between the guests. Coffee is available from early in the morning and the continental breakfast, featuring an assortment of standard breakfast fare, was delicious. ||This inn may have the best location in Key West. It is situated between Duval Street and Whitehead Street just north of Truman Avenue. If you are not familiar with Key West, this is ideal. Through our bathroom window, we could look into the property of the Hemingway Museum and check out Hemingway's cats. It is also a two minute walk from the lighthouse museum, and a few blocks north of the Southernmost Point buoy on the southern coast. Although this is a busy part of Key West, the inn is situated in the central part of the block between other houses, so any noise from the hustle and bustle nearby is nonexistent. Key West is a bike-friendly city and the inn has six complimentary grab-and-go bicycles available for guest use. We always found a bike available and in good condition. This is a great feature as riding the streets of Key West on a beach cruiser is an awesome experience and many of Key West's attractions are only a short bike ride from the inn. ||If you want the feeling of old Key West with luxurious modern amenities, this is the place for you. We would...
Read moreWe originally found out about Andrews Inn on Reddit, from some locals and former guests. This Inn and the staff far exceeded our expectations. Located literally in the backyard of the Ernest Heminway home this beautiful property is a Key West dream. Imagine our surprise when we looked over our porch to see the tour, we were a part of, just over Heminway's hand laid brick wall. In fact, we were visited quite often by own friendly 6toe kitty from next door!|Our space was the Roma cottage. The room was pristine, well appointed, and absolutely cozy. A Nectar mattress nestled in a four-poster bed; nice cold ac and premium sheets made for a great post-Duval nap and the authentic Key West porch was the real Chef's kiss. The pool area was insane. When its 99 degrees and 80% humidity, this private lush tropical pool alone is worth every dime. We could hear all commotion from Duval and my wife commented several times how fantastic this lil garden heaven was to escape the madness. The best part is the small boutique feel of the Inn. You really feel like it could be your home with a few friends. Don't skip the full breakfast including charcuterie and 24 hr coffee. Bikes are included so you can just zip down to the Southernmost point (5 mins away) or Mallory square for sunset. |Izabella, the manager, was amazing. We visited as a part of a "make a wish-bucket list) stay for my wife. Izabella and the staff at AIC made it so nice she shed a tear having to leave.|I personally want to thank the staff and owners for being great people in a sometimes not so great world. This weekend will live forever in our...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about Andrews Inn. The property is smack dab in the middle of old town Key West, but when you’re there you’d never know it. If you been to Key West before….I can all but guarantee you’ve walked by one of the entrances that take you to Andrews. I know we have, 100s of times, prior to this trip. Walk down one of these lanes and you arrive to the quiet, serene courtyard that’s only steps away from the music, food, and entertainment that is the heartbeat of Key West. It’s a slice of heaven.||On arrival, Izabella gave us a tour of the property and showed us to our room. She was wonderful and immediately answered any questions we had. We stayed in Pamplona. We absolutely loved it. There is a private balcony off this room overlooking the Hemmingway property. The property only has 6 rooms so it never felt crowded. Loved grabbing coffee every morning before sunrise. We said it was almost like having our own kitchen – coffee, tea, water, ice, etc. The breakfast in the mornings was a great way to start the day and was self-serve between 8 and 10am. ||The pool and courtyard were such an amazing place to escape the craziness and seek some relaxation. It’s absolutely the highlight of the property. It’s truly like you’ve been transported to another location. You can hear the wind rustling in the trees above, the birds singing, and the water fountains trickling. Truly amazing knowing you are surrounded, steps away, from enough music, drinks, and food to fill endless days of entertainment. ||You cannot go wrong with Andrews Inn. We will be...
