Ok so lets review this from a purely neutral and objectionable state because I feel like this place was a complete disaster. First off, let me commend the place for keeping the floors clean, tables and booths clean, and having a courteous greeter at the door with fast response times. However, this is where the good ends and the bad begins.
I've been in the Fort Hood area for 12 years so I have had some bad experiences before but this place habitually repeats problems over and over even after being told of the faults. This isn't just me being picky. Today, I had lunch with a co-worker. Both of our glasses were dirty, food and stains on the silverware and the party that sat down next to us had the same problem and complaint. This also happened a few months ago when I visited before. Additionally, my coworker who has eaten here has had this happen on several occasions.
Next on the list is the staff. Some of the waitresses and waiters are kind and do their job the best they can while others seem to care less, forget what you had to drink as well as what you ordered for food. I had the waitress ask me a second time if it was Chili I ordered because I had been sitting there for 20 minutes. Eventually, at the 30 minute mark I got my bowl of chili and my coworker got his fajitas. It does not take 30 minutes to make these dishes.
The manager is next on my list. I don't like making a big scene of things but if they ask me if there is a problem I will say something. However, he came by asked how we were doing and didn't bother to actually ask about the service or food. I guess at least he is doing his rounds but come on man, you don't know your silverware is dirty? You don't know your chili is lukewarm to dang near cold?
Finally, I pay on the little kiosks when I am in a hurry. However, this time we asked for the checks and wanted to pay directly with the waitress. We had to chase someone down to get this done as the other people looked at us and it "wasn't their problem". This kind of mentality is exactly why I try to only eat out at small businesses.
Don't waste your money or time here. I'm surprised the colonels, generals, and other upper level folks on Fort Hood like SGMs and CSMs haven't filed complaints yet. This place is doing a huge disservice to our fine...
Read moreThis was a very disappointing date night my husband and I went on. From beginning to end it was horrible. I love chili's because this is where we went on our first date 3 years ago. We walked in and were told that it was a 15 to 20 min wait. That was fine and we didn't mind at all. When they came to get us and seat us they offered us a table that was open and clean since we walked in except they made us wait almost 20 mins for this table. We asked for a different table since we really wanted to sit next to each other and the table wasn't able to do that. They sat us in another table that had no tablet to see orders or order extra drinks. We didn't mind that much either except when it seemed like we were ignored so much from our server. He was so rude and acted like we were a burden. The first set of drinks came after 20 mins of waiting at the table. My husband was given a dirty glass. When we told the server he just rolled his eyes and took it back to get a new one. No apology or anything. When he brought it back he set it down and walked away. We ordered an appetizer of chicken. When it came out it had rotten celery and looked thrown on the plate like they didn't care. We asked for a manager at this point. When she came we showed her the food and I let her know my drink came a bit messed up in it's mixing and garnish. She apologized and brought me a new drink and new celery. She also apologized for the way the server was with my husband's drink. Still we were ignored by the server. We finally got our main meal and I had a hair on my steak and my drink she had remade was served in a chipped glass. We at this point lost our appetite and didn't wanna eat. My husband was disgusted by the hair he didn't finish his food. The manager apologized and took off my meal but didn't care much at how my husband didn't really eat. We ended up paying over $50 for nasty food and a horrible server. That server throughout the time would walk past us ignoring us. The manager had to serve our food cuz he wouldn't walk over. And we really tried not to make a big deal but if there is a problem we will let you know. I don't think we will be returning to this chili's again. It was just an all around...
Read moreWe were at this Chili’s location on May 22, 2025. What was meant to be a joyful evening celebrating my twins’ academic achievements turned into a frustrating and upsetting ordeal.
We chose Chili’s for our celebration because it’s typically a place we enjoy and trust. We were seated promptly and our server was friendly. Appetizers arrived in a reasonable time despite the busy atmosphere, and everything seemed to be going well.
Once we ordered our entrees, the experience took a turn for the worse. After waiting about 30 minutes, our server apologized for the delay, stating our food would be out shortly. Unfortunately, we watched several other tables many of whom had been seated after us receive their meals while we continued to wait. When our server passed by again, she told us the food was being plated, but we still saw no sign of it.
Eventually, we asked to speak to the manager, Tristan. We calmly explained our frustration and requested to pay for what we had already received, as we no longer wished to wait for our entrees. Rather than offering an apology or showing concern for our experience, Tristan appeared dismissive and made repeated attempts to leave the conversation. He only offered a free dessert, which felt like a token gesture rather than a sincere attempt to make things right. At that point, we didn’t want anything free, we simply wanted to feel heard and respected.
The situation worsened when we left and Tristan looked at us with what appeared to be disdain. When my husband returned to request a copy of our receipt, he was again met with attitude as Tristan aggressively input our information to print it out.
What was meant to be a happy celebration for our children ended in disappointment. My family left sad, hungry, and disheartened not just because of the delay, but because of how poorly the situation was handled. We have always enjoyed Chili’s, but this experience has made us question returning.
I am not writing this to demand compensation, but to bring attention to the lack of basic hospitality and accountability we encountered. I really hope this feedback is taken seriously so that other families don’t have to go through a...
