I waited a whole day to write this review because I didn't want my displeasure of my experience to cloud my judgement. Service was very slow but I was ok with that considering how overworked the bartender was. The food was actually good but the service not so much. Me and my wife both ordered the snow crab boil and they didn't bring us crab crackers for our boil. They serve the boil and plastic bags and you end up eating your meal out of the plastic bags. After picking around the crab because I didn't want to crack it with my bare hands and teeth I politely tried to get the managers Jose attention by saying excuse me sir. After the third excused me sir he finally acknowledged me by putting his finger and my face while saying hold on and went behind the hostess station. I was sitting right next to the hostess station and loudly expressed my displeasure of how he interacted with me. He then returned to my table and rudely asked what it was I wanted and I asked why I didn't receive crab crackers with my boil and he stated I needed to ask my waitress for those upon arrival of my entree. He then walked off and did not return to my table. My server asked how was my dining experience and I proceeded to tell her about the interaction I had with manager Jose. She notified another manager by the name of Greg who was supposed to come address the situation. After 20 min. Greg had not came to my table and I proceeded to take a picture of a dinning booth that was his make shift office in front of the restaurant that everyone can see upon entering. After that Greg asked how was my experience and if I would like to talk about it. I replied it is a little to late for that now Greg. I went back to my booth to ask for my check and Greg did come and approach my booth and kneel down to discuss what has occurred. I can say he did seem concerned about my unpleasant experience and talked with our party of 6 for about 15 minutes. I did not like the way management handled the situation and will not return to that establishment to be treated in...
Read moreWe arrived yesterday, 3/14/2021, around 6:00 PM. We were told by the hostess that a table would be ready within 20 to 30 minutes. We asked if we could sit at the bar while we waited and were told it was fine. We walked up to the bar and immediately noticed various empty drinks, dirty napkins, straws, etc....that were cluttering the bar. We understood it was a busy time and allowed for that. Once we sat down, one of the female bartenders asked "are you eating or drinking?" We were a little confused at first and responded that we were planning to eat and were waiting for our table, but that we'd like to have a drink at the bar while we wait. She said "that's fine but you have to pay out with me before you leave or I will hunt you down and get my money." We laughed that off, thinking it was strange to be greeted that way, but figured she was just trying to be funny. Again, we tried to be understanding as we saw that her and the other female bartender were busy, so we figured they'd get to us as soon as they could. We continued to sit there for 15 minutes (bar was never cleaned) and then the 2nd female bartender asked if we got our drinks yet. I explained we had never even ordered and she simply said "oh, what do you want?" I ordered a white sangria and my husband ordered a Coors Light on tap. We sat there for another 5 minutes and saw that neither bartender was preparing a drink for either one of us, so we left. Now I understand that it was a busy time and that orders were coming in from the dining room. However, I feel like there should be a designated bartender attending to those actually sitting at the bar. Or at the very least, if I knew I had patrons that had been sitting there for an extended period of time and all they ordered was a sangria and beer on tap, I would have just taken care of them as soon as possible and then gotten back to my tickets. Again, we understand busy times and even being short-staffed, but the bartenders could have addressed that in a more...
Read moreI had heard a lot about how good this restaurant was and every time I passed by, the parking lot was always full. Today my son came to visit from Austin, so we decided to try it. We went there about 4:30pm to beat the crowd, and it was not crowded yet and we were seated right away. The server Dahlia was very nice & friendly and took our drink orders as soon as she sat us at our table. Dahlia came back with our drinks and a basket of puffed chips. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and the interior was decorated very nicely. My son and I ordered the Seafood Boils. I ordered my Seafood Boil with a Lobster tail, Shrimp (Head-off) and Crawfish, my son ordered his Seafood Boil with a Snow Crab cluster, Shrimp (Head-off) and Crawfish, and the Seafood Boils come with two red potatoes & an ear of corn. We both selected the Seasoned Garlic Butter sauce, and I ordered mine mild and my son ordered his spicy. My brother ordered the Chicken Po' Boy with Sweet Potato fries. We ordered the Hush Puppies as an appetizer. The Hush Puppies were very good and the chips were very interesting. When our food came, the Seafood Boils were served in a big boil bag on a tray. They were steaming hot! We were offered plastic bibs and plastic gloves, which are very much needed. My brother's Chicken Po' Boy was huge and the Sweet Potato fries were cut waffle shaped, and were plentiful. Dahlia came back and checked several times to see if we needed anything else, Great Server! My son and I both agreed that the Seafood Boils were amazing, so flavorful! My brother loved the Sweet Potato fries and said the Chicken Po' Boy was really good too, he had to take half his Po' Boy home. My son said that the Seafood Boils were better than any he had found in Austin. This was probably the best Seafood that I have had in Killeen. By the time we were ready to leave, the restaurant was already getting pretty busy. We will definitely be coming...
