We had the AYCE BBQ yesterday (9.16.22). Let me start with commending the array of options here and without being limited like some other places in town. Still pales in comparison to what we're used to but decent. We had prime brisket, pork belly (they were out of garlic one), beef bulgogi and garlic shrimp. Everything was good. But the make your own sauce bar was awesome and really kicked our food up a notch!!! Shayna was our waitress and did great despite being new. They would've gotten at least 4 stars from me if our experience ended when we closed out our check. I only give one star because right before we got up to leave, a male employee came to buss our table (really just take the one stack of dishes we had already piled together) and asked if we enjoyed our meal. I answered with a yes and thank you. He left to bring our 2 menus up to the front and came back and asked again if we enjoyed our meal and at this time I noticed he was only facing my daughter who had not been replying to him. He then turned his back even more to me and asked again until my daughter nodded yes. At this point he turned to me and said...I know YOU enjoyed it. I saw you eating. I mean she (looked at my daughter) ate too but you was really eating. You ate like you were eating for two of her (my daughter). He then walked away. I don't remember if he had said anything else as we were both shocked at what he said. We left the restaurant still in awe of what just happened. I didn't think to speak to a manager at that time. My daughter had been there one other time and said the waitress she had was rude to her. DEFINITELY NEED SOME WORK ON CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH SOME OF THEIR STAFF.

The Austin area lacks really good Korean food so I decided to take the trip to Killeen with my kids to try KPOT. Overall the restaurant itself is nice and the staff was friendly. The one issue with the restaurant was that a majority of the floor in the areas we walked were extremely slick, almost like they were covered in grease from all the tables cooking. The service stayed on top of things really well. They did a great job of explaining how their all-you can eat menu for both hot pot and KBBQ worked. The selection of meats for the KBBQ was solid, with all the staples you'd expect. The quality of the meats was nice as well. The LA galbi was marinated well and tender. The beef brisket was high quality as well. Lastly the beef bulgolgi was also marinated well, a bit too sweet though, and was actually higher quality beef than most Korean places. My biggest complaint, which keeps this place from earning 5 stars, is the fact that it's a very westernized version of KBBQ. No banchan is delivered to the table, there is a buffet area with sauces and a couple of banchan options. The only one that made sense was the kimchi which was easily some of the worst kimchi I've ever had. It wasn't spicy at all, lacked any kind of vinegar bite, and was far too sweet. The sauces on the buffet were also pretty bad, not fresh whatsoever. Overall it's a great experience with solid atmosphere, just watch out for slick floors. The service was solid and the meat was good. Don't go expecting anything close to an authentic Korean experience though.

This was our first time here. It's a all-you-can-eat type place with korean style grill/hot pot ($5 extra to do both) We had the BBQ. We came on a Saturday around 230 and there was a 50 minute wait. On Saturday and Sunday they do only dinner menu all day, which is $29.99 per person, but everyone at the table has to order the same option(either BBQ only, hit pot only or both). They took our info and texted us when they had a table available. One weird thing did happen was that one if the chopsticks we got was dirty rightout of the packaging. We had bulgogi, spicy baby octopus, spicy pork belly, spicy bulgogi, garlic shrimp, spicy salmon and eggplant, onions, zucchini and mushrooms for veggies. The portions are pretty small(5 octopus when 2 ppl ordered, 5 shrimps when 1 person ordered). I would estimate the bulgogi portion was about 1/3 of what you would normally get as a dinner portion at a restaurant. There was a significant (15 minute) wait time from ordering meat to delivery, while the veggies came out withing 3 minutes. There is a $13 charge of you don't finish all your meat so keep that in mind when ordering. Luckily we didn't get both options as we were stuffed from what we ordered for BBQ. It was a bit smoky due to other tables burning their food(they could use vent hoods above the tables like at other BBQ/hot pot restaurants we've been to. Overall it was a good experience and worth the $29.99 per person charge. We'll definitely be back to try the hot pot.

My spouse and I have been frequenting KPOT for well over a year now. However, during our recent visit, we ordered our usual meal which includes 3x spicy bulgogi, 3x plain bulgogi, and 3x rice. We were served a plate of spicy and plain bulgogi along with the rice, but we were still waiting for the other 4 plates. When my husband inquired with the waiter about our order, as we had only received 2 plates of meat, she responded, "They sometimes send it out like that." We waited patiently for over 30 minutes, but eventually decided to request the bill. To our surprise, the total came to $70 without the tip, for the small portions we had received. If this had been our first time dining there, we may not have felt as disappointed, but the portions we received were clearly incorrect and insufficient, especially compared to our past experiences at the restaurant. The waiter claimed that the portions we received were supposed to include all six orders of bulgogi, which left us shocked. Despite paying the bill, we spoke to the manager on duty, who mentioned that he was new and following the protocol he had been taught for fulfilling orders. He assured us that he would contact us the following day to address the situation. This incident took place on April 8th, and as of April 10th, we have yet to hear from them. Additionally, the waitress displayed unprofessional behavior. Every customer should be treated with respect and professionalism, regardless of personal feelings. If one dislikes their job or customer service roles in general, they should reconsider their career choice. In conclusion, we caution others to be cautious of the new management and potential tactics that may not align with fair customer service practices. As a result, we have decided not to return to the restaurant under its...

The quality of the food served at the restaurant was satisfactory, and the pricing was reasonable. The overall cleanliness of the establishment was commendable, although improvements are needed in the maintenance of the restroom facilities. Regrettably, I would not consider revisiting due to the lack of satisfactory customer service provided by our waitress, Sahara.

When I brought to her attention that we were awaiting my friend's chicken order, she displayed defensiveness and claimed that both my portion and my friend's portion were served together on a single plate. Which was odd because my mother received her own separate plate. I’ll add that my mothers portion appeared identical to mine. The expectation would be for my friend to receive his own serving, particularly since the restaurant offers unlimited servings. While I did not mind sharing (as we were cooking together), I felt that the waitress's response was disingenuous and defensive, instead of simply arranging a separate serving for my friend right away.

Furthermore, we had to request multiple times for the grill pan to be switched, as it was necessary for our meal preparation. Even after making the initial request, our waitress chose to engage in idle conversation with a coworker at the bar instead of promptly attending to our needs. Only after reminding her a second time did she finally change the grill pan.

To conclude our dining experience, I requested the bill, yet I found myself waiting for an extended period of time. During this time, I observed our waitress engaging in casual conversation with a coworker at the bar once again. This lack of attentiveness was disappointing, and had it not been for a sense of obligation, I would not have left any gratuity. I sincerely regret the amount...
