Let me first say, I've been coming to the restaurant off and on for about two years. I've bought food four different times and the last two times the service was awful and disrespectful. I've had issues with two particular females that work up there one in particular that was pregnant. I'm bringing that up because instead of being professional and keeping her reservation to herself about my appearance, she assumes I'm pregnant and has the audacity to ask me if I'm pregnant. Now remind you, I don't know this women personally, I don't do small talk, so I order politely, purchase the food, and sit at the cubicle style seats by the windows near the refrigerated beverages with my children. I'm having small conversation with my children and I'm on the phone with their father. I see and hear other orders being called by name and the customers coming up to the counter picking up their orders. My name is called, I raise my hand to let her know I was the name she called, but I'm also on the phone telling them to "hold on" the lady at the counter and I make eye contact. I reach the counter, and the lady walks pass me to the table where my children and I are sitting. This pisses me off, I wait until she leaves and describes what happens to my children's father over the phone. He tells me to be cool and enjoy my food. We sit there, I get off the phone, enjoy our meal and start to clean our area. My children say they're heading to the car, I decide to purchase additional drinks out of their refrigerated beverage cooler. When I get to the counter to purchase the drinks, the pregnant woman asks if I'm pregnant and I look at her and tell her "no". She proceeds to give me my receipt and I walk out even more pissed. So..... yesterday I decided to go get food two hours before my shift to work at 4pm. I order at 2:15 pm. The lady that walked passed me with my order is up there assisting a young man taking orders. I'm by myself, I sit directly in front of the counter and I'm the only customer at this time in the restaurant. I look at the receipt it says 2:15p.m. I sit and wait about seven customers after me are called, up to the counter, and their food is given. I'm approached by the young main who took my order, and he tells me it will be a few minutes longer. I acknowledge him, and continue to wait on my food. About five minutes later a man from the back with his phone approaches me saying he apologizes for the delay. I grin nervously because it has become apparent I've been sitting here for at least 45 minutes. The woman who was assisting taking the order (and who walked passed me), comes to the table where I'm seated and let's me know she made a mistake and gave my food to another customer. She asking me "what can she do". I told her I need to be on my way to work. She asks me if I wanted a refund, but I had set there too long to leave to work without anything to eat. I repeated "I needed to get to work soon". I sit there for another 10 minutes. She finally brings the food to the counter and calls my name. I get my food, head to the car, look at my phone. It's 3:05p.m. I won't be purchasing anything from you all anymore. Too much of a headache, and I don't know why the females act so...
Read moreToday I experienced the worst customer service EVER since I've been coming to this location. I've always came to this location and always was greeted by name due to me coming every other week. I have alawys been a known customer for DRIVING FROM WACO TO KILLEEN. I went to the counter and place my order with a guy by the name of (TANIES S.) receipt stated. I told the server I would like to order Jerk Chicken and Oxtails combo. He proceeded to ask me did I want any of the sides (calling out the sides) and I stated NO meaning NO PLANTAINS. I didn't hear the server ask about any other vegetable meaning is per-say 'YOU WASN'T LISTENING' WOW .. so after that I paid for my order and took a seat to wait for my order to be ready. As I was sitting and waiting I noticed my ticket receipt stated NO SIDES so I went back to the counter and asked the server about the sides and I wanted cabbage.(the normal I've been coming for months now) The server proceeded to give me the longest & NASTIEST silent look for 30 seconds and he just stood there and looked at me. So I asked the serve IF it was it too late to add the cabbage and he just stood there again with a blank stare. My reaction was IS IT TOO LATE TO ADD CABBAGE. The server seem to have gotten agitated and wanted to go back and forth to argue with me and then proceeded to say I ASKED YOU did you want anything else (mean the sides) and you told me no. At that point I just looked at him because I couldn't believe this is what I was experiencing. I have to admit it was a miss communication with me over hearing him processing the order. If I wouldn't have driven an hour to get my favorite food. I would have canceled the order and took my money and business elsewhere. To get on his level and be argumentative with him is delusional when someone is preparing your food but to have a policy that says WE HAVE A RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE) when your the one that's unprofessional with customer's but again I drove an hour kept quiet took my food and left. To the server that come across this REAL review please fix your attitude while working at the front counter, placing over the phone orders you never know what a person has went through when they walk into your establishment and you come off to addresses customers with such a DISTASTEFUL attitude. To the previous server that always greet me with a smile also by...
Read moreFavorite selection: Curry Goat I went with my dad. We ordered 2 small combination plates (jerk pork w/chicken and oxtail w/curry goat). Both plates came with rice and peas, fried sweet plantains, and steamed cabbage. We also ordered 2 slices of rum cake and 1 small size cup each of cucumber juice and pineapple ginger juice. Total meal cost: $71.38 My dad (who is puerto rican) really enjoyed the meal. This was a welcome surprise since he can be very picky, especially when it comes to food that isn't puerto rican. He especially enjoyed the jerk pork, saying that it was some of the best pork he ever had. I personally thought it was well seasoned but a bit dry. The chicken was well cooked and had a nice sauce, which paired well with the fried plantains and rice. The steamed cabbage was well seasoned and had a nice light crunch. The Oxtail was very flavourful and tender. The Curry Goat was delicious, one of the best cooked goat dishes I've ever had. The 2 drinks were very refreshing. We actually got to sample 3 of the fruit drinks offered, which was really nice. The rum cake had a soft texture with coconut flavor and cherries, a very nice dessert. We were also given extra sauce on the side for the curry goat and oxtail along with our order. I appreciate this since it showed the consideration the staff had for us as customers. Overall, both me, my dad as well as mom enjoyed the food, and I could definitely see myself coming back. Would...
