Not "Freaky Fast." Jimmy John's Killeen is one of the slowest Jimmy John's I've encountered. I placed our order on the app, and shortly after I was notified the order was ready, so we go to pick it up. However, the order was not ready. We waited inside a little over 15 minutes before we received our order. We were the only customers in the establishment, and the drive-thru was empty as well. Truly, the slowest Jimmy John’s I've encountered. (Maybe the staff was new?)
The Establishment The smallest Jimmy John's I've ever seen. It only has 3 tables. The place is very clean. The atmosphere was not super inviting. With most Jimmy John's we visit, the staff immediately showers you with greetings. This one did not.
The Food Not the best Jimmy John's. I ordered the #7 Spicy East Coast Italian. The sandwich was rather dry, they forgot the tomatoes, and it had only 2 Jimmy Peppers on the entire sandwich...(not very spicy). It was "missing" something as well.
Customer Service They offered good customer service when giving us our order and nothing was missing from our order.
In the End I'm a die hard Jimmy John's fan and I order it whenever I possibly can. This location falls short in the food preparation and a tad short on the customer service side. It's not a location I'll go out of my way to get Jimmy John's. The sandwiches are a bit dry and not prepared as well as others or properly. The Belton and Georgetown locations far surpass...
Read moreWe have always liked the subs we get from Jimmy John’s. We didn’t realize that there was a location in Killeen that is not on the base, but this location is not obvious when driving on South Fort Hood Street. We would have driven right by it without Google maps! It is in the back of a mostly empty strip mall, and there is plenty of parking.
Issaak greeted us when we walked in, and he was very helpful. We thought that he was the manager, but he’s not (he should be!). We got the #7 Spicy East Coast Italian and The J.J. Gargantuan. First the negative…. it’s expensive! You will pay over $21 for a giant sized Gargantuan. The two sandwiches cost us almost $40 with tax, which seems like a lot for sub sandwiches. Now the positive… it’s a HUGE sandwich. There is so much meat and toppings that both my wife and I got three meals out of our sandwiches. I’m sure that I could have stuffed half of the Gargantuan down my throat, but I can’t imagine anyone eating a giant Gargantuan in a single sitting. My wife’s Italian sub didn’t have as much meat as mine, but it was still a HUGE sandwich! Plus, they will customize the sub with toppings however you want. My wife and I also both love the bread.
Compared to other sandwich shops, Jimmy John’s gives you the most meat and cheese. Go to Jimmy John’s and get a...
Read moreFood is always fast and ready to go. The problem my family has been having is tummy problems!!!!! At first we thought it could have just been the type of sandwich but then we went back to the original plain sandwiches and yet again (I love jimmy johns so it was really hard to say this) we have food poisoning. I have brought it up with the store and I was told they would check everything and make sure this doesn’t happen again. I just wanted to post this since it was a reoccurring thing and after bringing it up with friends and family they have been experiencing the same thing just nobody wanted to accept it since we all love jimmy John’s just not this location. It also wasn’t clean when we showed up this past time and the cookies and brownies were past expiration and all smashed. There was only one worker who was sitting on their phone instead of taking peoples orders (only three of us in...
