McDonald's — Restaurant in Killeen

To caveat, I no longer compare McDonald's establishments to other establishments in the same sector of service. Comparing THIS particular restaurant located off Business 190, restaurant#7193, to other McDonald's restaurants... it has some work. I wanted a variety of things for lunch but decided to go here instead. The drive-thru had a few cars waiting in the coveted "post-pay-food-delay" line. 🤣🤣I believe this was created by McDonald's. I don't see many other restaurants telling you to pull over and wait for your food. The establishment banks on the marketing strategy of "fast food" and wants to keep it's drive-thru times low. So they'll cash you out and have you wait against an invisible clock. I wanted no part in this so I went inside. There was a gentleman waiting but no cashier. I decided to use the self-service kiosk. I set the order for dine-in, pulled my table tent and sat down. The table tent was useless, they called my ticket#. It was in a Togo bag. I peek inside my bag to find brown fries halfway full. If I can see the yellow stripes on the back of the fry carton, I feel cheated. I pay for a large fry which is the exact same price, if not more for an entire bag of frozen fries. I want my large fry. The brown color wasn't because they were burnt but because the grease is old. I asked for more fries and my cup for the beverage. The young lady took the fries to another female, appeared to be some sort of lead. The lead said aloud, "[inaudible] complaining". I didn't react. I didn't bother reacting because it's McDonald's. There are definitely better McDonald's restaurants around. I wouldn't...

I have to give one star, even though that location doesn't even deserve one star. I ordered five (5) holiday pies inside the restaurant. Turns out that I got pies that say, "ENJOY BY 6:00 PM 12/30/16." Even though it was 7:00 when I ordered, I asked her shouldn't the pies be thrown away if it says "by 6:00?" She said, no, because if customers wanted holiday pies, she could serve those, the ones that are 'enjoyed by 6:00. The manager, Alexis (or whatever her name is spelled) did not care also, because she was also serving the "ENJOYED 6:00" pies at the drive thru at 7:20. I know this because, I waited for the five, 5, fresh baked holiday pies I asked for. I did not get all five freshly baked holiday pies, because when I came home I found one that had a sticker that says, "ENJOY BY 6:00 PM 12/30/16." So, I was very unsatisfied for having old pies. The other four holiday pies did not have a sticker, so I don't know if they were freshly baked, even though they told me to wait about 10 to 15 minutes. They don't care about serving fresh food. If you like old, dried pies...Then you this location is the place for you. The cashier and manager does not care, but to get the orders through even though the quality is bad. So, even though I assume she gave me the four fresh baked pies and not five (like I ordered), she did not bring out any more fresh ones for future customers who would want to order those holiday pies. Had a full crew on staff and no one was working everyone was in the back cooking burgers and someone was burning the food. Gonna move my review to one star and gonna probably stop going to this McDonald's from all of the previous experiences.
