George's Galley — Restaurant in Killingly

No pictures I was eating on July 25, 2024 when I came back from Willimantic. I needed breakfast food. I love his eggs just tasty and I loved the fact his home fries are not red potatoes they are like white potatoes kinda like slicing a white potato thin and giving them a nice golden brown buttery taste. I been eating here since I was kid they use to be open later but I believe it is noon. Oh the breakfast meat the ham is like home baked ham/ham off the bone not a lunch meat cut. Prices are affordable. I love it they carry Hosmer Mountain Soda and black cherry always my favorite no caffeine and in a bottle. The bill with a soda was about like $11 something. A quick in and out for me. Simple and I dig that. Love ham and cheese omelette. I don’t find the ham salty So, I had 2 eggs over easy, ham, and decided white toast i believe don’t recall could been raisin toast but I wanted white toast and strawberry jam. The food is good for the prices, however the service is unfriendly to say the least. Customers are rushed when ordering, no matter how busy the day. It can be the slowest day there and you would still see waiters and waitresses galloping and stumbling around in a nervous sense of haste. The waiters are forgetful of what you order, even if you keep reminding them and even with the help of their little notepads that they supposedly write the orders down on. In all, their good food does not make up for their condescending attitude and unwelcoming atmosphere.
