Little River Bread Co — Restaurant in Killingly

Stopped in for the first time today, and it smelled heavenly! Staff was super friendly. Love that! Picked out a couple things, a sourdough, a pretzels, chocolate chip cookie, and the cinnamon roll. My family and I shared bites of everything, just to get a taste for a variety of items. I don’t know where to start. The bread. The best I’ve ever had. The pretzel puts any other pretzel I’ve had to shame. It was amazing. The cookie, out of this world fantastic! No other cookie will do! But the cinnamon roll. Oh, my heart. I love cinnamon anything. My mom, a baker, used to make these cinnamon rolls to die for. And there’s never been one to touch it, until now! This dough is different than typical blah cinnamon rolls. It’s in a category by itself. The amount of cinnamon wasn’t overwhelming but not sparse either. And the icing on top was just enough to be decadent but not overpowering the cinnamon roll itself. I’ve never tasted anything close to my mom’s cinnamon rolls, and I think this was better than hers! Thank you for making the best, most amazing treats...

I'm not giving them a great review for a couple of reasons.

1. Their prices are sky high! You pay $8. for a loaf of plain bread and if they have any specialty breads, forget it, you're paying $13+. You also pay $4.50 for one chocolate chip cookie.
2. When you price out, they have that annoying screen where you are asked to put a tip, 10%, 15%, 20% or no tip. When you charge phenomenal prices for your goods, you should not be asking for a tip on top of it and for what, to ring me up??! BAD TASTE and poor...

I’ve actually never dealt with the people at Little River bakery or visited their shop, YET! I will say, however, at the Willimantic food co-op they have their sourdough delivered on Thursday and Sunday and it is the best bread I’ve ever tasted in my life. This week I’ll be going on Thursday right when the delivery arrives to make sure I get it. I am now in love with Little...
