Sunnyside Farms II — Local services in Killingly

I feel a zero 0-star option would be more appropriate. I was a customer in this store on the morning of August, 01st, 2024. My total bill was $22.47. I bought a pack of cigarettes, snacks, three sodas, and two coffees as I was not on my journey alone. While shopping, I made an error. I grabbed a bottle of sugar-free Sprite and requested regular Sprite. I did not immediately notice my mistake, perhaps because I drank the entire contents of my cup of coffee before even thinking of my 20 oz bottle of soda. I was on my way home (walking), so I turned right back around when I did notice. I walked in and politely asked the taller gentleman (who cashed me out) if I could please exchange it for the correct soda. He asked me if it was opened, so I told him No – as it was completely UNOPENED. The cover was still intact with the ring around the top of the bottle. He (himself) opened the bottle as he tested the cover (having his hands all over it), and said I could not exchange the bottle because it was NOW opened.
