Chat-n-Nibble — Restaurant in Kings Mountain

My husband's hometown , so he wanted to take me here for a bite while we were out enjoying a ride on his bike. Cute place I thought when we walked in. He assured me the food was great so I couldn't wait to see the menu. After we ordered the daily special, two hamburger steak plates we were starving. More folks wandered in after us and then we noticed... Everyone had been getting served their food but us. We were the last served after waiting over an hour!

Apparently bikers aren't welcome and I guess they were hoping we would get fed up and leave. My husband's anger grew but I told him were NOT leaving!!! She brought it two little hamburger patties and said "they had to cook more of the h. Steaks that's why it took so long". I have short order cooked in restaurants before and waitresses. There is no way it took an hour or more to cook them little 4oz patties! 🤨 I guess I know what they were chatting and nibbling on.

Bikers be warned, go elsewhere or unless your a regular. 🙄

Update - To the (🙏) I'll pray for you since your establishment is the one that has the problem not me...

No REAL butter!🧈 This missing item would have validated the experience as positive, and is my minimal requirement regardless of where I decide to eat! Very good biscuit but absolutely terrible margarine offered was their only available option... which in my opinion totally ruined it! A clean, noisey, and altogether Spartan atmosphere greets the customer upon entering. My cheerful server was more than adept and she gave 200% effort juggling the big crowd, but she had by any measure far too many tables to tend. She yet managed somehow (by constantly running her legs off in an exhaustingly nonstop marathon), so I did give her a well earned 30% tip. Unfortunately, and much resembling the melted margarine (inside the tiny portioned, plastic peel-off ramekin), she was obviously "spread thin", and this lessens the likelihood of me returning anytime soon. Real butter would have definitely raised my food rating for a meal that was otherwise of good...

I didn't even make it in the door the door says they're open till 1:00 I was there at 15 till they turned me away there wasn't even any customers in there to eat and this isn't the first time that has happened. Last weekend I got there at 15 till and they were already closed and sitting in their car ready to leave. They told me they quit serving people at 12:30 because they wanted to be out of there and leaving at 1:00 not a very good way to run a business. If you want to be home by 1:00 then you should change the hours on your door they were very disrespectful I will not...
