We came in and was seated quickly. Our server seemed to have an attitude and came off as obnoxious, I mean who rolls there eye's when your ordering.. she did.. another server brought out our salads, and bread .. sadly she wasn't our server the entire night for she was friendly, chipper and smiled.. had a appetizer similar to a blooming onion but much better. Salads were large, fresh and tasty the dressings " honey mustard & blue cheese" good, the bread was my favorite, warm served with honey butter... Main meal was 2 steaks . A large filet mignon & a ribeye.. both expensive but would had been worth it if they were good.. my filet the largest size was so full of grisel I could barely eat it as well when I went to cut it I'm surprised it didn't moo"" I love medium rare but this was wasn't even rare for it was even cold in the middle and raw. the seasoning on mine tasted good so it was a shame it wasn't edible... the over $25 dollar ribeye was thinner than a pancake, & seasoned with a inedible spicy seasoning.. having a server with so much attitude we dreaded telling her of the issues so only complained of the worse steak, the ribeye and only asking for a new one.. as well both potatoes looked great but were so cold the butter, and cheese wouldn't even melt so we did request new ones as well.. when it finally was brought out both potatoes were hot and tasted good.. the new ribeye was still terrible, more thin than the original, but at least it wasn't to spicy to eat.. for guess the cook thought they would teach us a lesson for this one had "No Seasoning " ..but that was fine with us for at least that can be added..we had originally also added the close to $6 dollar individual fried brussel sprouts vegetable but they were undercooked and to hard to eat.. it was disappointing when you spend a little over $100 for only 2 dining and though we don't believe the server deserved 20% we still gave it out of common courtesy..but what happened later is why I gave only 1 star.. for it seems more than a coincidence that after getting a couple tea refills, stomach started filling sick, so sick we had to hurry out & by the time we made it to the hotel room nausea, vomiting & hours of sick stomach followed..it was bad and a case of obvious food ( or was it drink? ) poisoning.. I stay this way often because of my Dr at the Mayo" but I would never risk eating here again for it could easily had put me in the hospital.. we came here because of the good reviews, came to enjoy being together before I began treatment again.. and "Maybe" this was an off night? But it's bad when you begin to feel like vomiting before you can leave a restaurant, and worse is wondering if your server put visine in your drinks.. maybe? Or maybe not? We'll never know or want to return...
Read moreAMAZING food, service and atmosphere! I’m absolutely coming back to this steakhouse, and probably sooner than later! EAT HERE!
I was craving a good steak, and LongHorn has plenty of options, even if you don’t want steak. It was a busy Friday night, the restaurant seemed full, but we were sat right away at the bar area high-top table. Our server/bartender Lauren was the best! She was friendly, personable, and super attentive, accommodating our various requests and checking on us constantly during dinner.
I enjoyed how dim and moody the lighting was in the restaurant. It made the vibes intimate and cozy. It’s a great place for dates and groups.
Here’s what we thought of the food:
-Complimentary bread: Who doesn’t love free bread for the table! Soft bread and whipped, airy butter. Perfect combo.
-Parmesan crusted spinach dip: My favorite part of the dinner. Super hot when it came out so the cheese was oozy. And it tasted so flavorful and paired perfectly with the thick pita chips! I’d come back just for this!
-Ribeye: I ordered this medium well and it was cooked perfectly. It tasted so good with the creamy baked mac & cheese, and loaded baked potato.
-Longhorn salmon: Yummy, flaky salmon served with rice. This paired well with the crispy Brussels sprouts, which were another table favorite. The sprouts were tender with the perfect sweet and savory glaze.
-Lemon garlic chicken: The chicken was juicy and well with the fire-grilled corn on the cob.
If you’re in the mood for a hearty and flavorful dinner at an enjoyable establishment, I totally recommend having lunch, dinner, or...
Read moreI gave the food poor because I never actually got to taste it. Saturday before Mothers Day, oldest son and his wife and 2 children, myself, youngest son, and wife, all met @ 4:30 in the afternoon to have an early celebration for Mothers Day. After waiting about 10 minutes, the young boy who was the host finally came to me and offered to stick us in the first booth as you come in the door. I said to him, there are 7 of us,(my son is over 6'2 and I'm 5'11 and we're both over 200 lbs.) no way we can fit comfortably in that booth. He said its either that booth or we would have to wait 45 minutes or more, and they had a party of 25? coming in. We left.
But not before I took a quick look around. I noticed that instead of couples sitting at booths and 4 tops, that there were at least 6 couples occupying large tables by themselves, and the big corner booth that seats like 8 or more, had only 2 people eating there. I understand that customers like to sit where they like, because I do, but when you lose business because your staff does not know how to seat people, you need new staff.
Anyone who has ever worked in the food industry in the dining area knows you never seat 2 people at a 6 top or larger. There are special circumstances, but I am sure all 7 of those couples did not have special circumstances. Either the staff has no clue how to seat people or they just told the customers to sit where they wanted to. Either way, we left, went to Millhouse...
