Good food and great service at this dive bar! I’ve been here a few times for drinks, so this was my first time having a meal here and it did not disappoint. It seems like a spot locals love, especially for their themed nights: karaoke, bingo, trivia, etc.
The first time I came here was over a year ago, during a fun karaoke night. I got a couple shots and cocktails which were strong and affordable.
This time around I was greeted right away with a friendly smile and hello. It’s self-seating and there’s two sides to choose from, both having a bar section. They have a pretty good selection of food for a dive bar.
The atmosphere is very casual. There are some tvs and a juke box. Some of the paint needs touching up in the entrance hallway, but the place is clean and comfortable.
Here’s what we ordered: -Lemon pepper pork rinds with queso dip: Really tasty! They were crispy and airy. The queso dip was warm and delicious. Great combo.
-BYOBurger: Patty was cooked perfectly and tasted great! The buns were soft, and the veggies and pickle were fresh. I recommend adding cheese (extra charger). Hearty burger! The fries could have been crispier; they were average.
-Mussels: Cooked perfectly, but the sauce could’ve used more garlic flavor. Plated really well and the side toast was yummy.
-Chicken Finger Plate: Fried really well, and ranch dipping sauce was delicious.
-Greek Salad: Fresh and flavorful! Really good!
Our server Seaonna was awesome. Not only was she super friendly, but she also made small-talk and made sure to ask about refills.
I’d definitely come back here for drinks and food again. I might try out their adult bingo night or do karaoke night again soon. Try this place out if you’re...
Read moreWaitress/bartender Jamie definitely could work on her serving skills. First, she didn't feel the need to express that the restaurant had no fountain soft drinks as most restaurants do. I asked for coke, and she said we have pepsi. Assuming she meant Pepsi products in general, I said Mt Dew. Says she doesn't have that, so I said Pepsi is fine then. She proceeds to go behind the bar and pours Pepsi FROM A 2 LITER!!! I decided to not be a pain and just accepted it, not intending to order a refill even though I'm sure they still would've charged the nearly $3 for a drink which is more than the whole bottle was worth, but I digress. She takes our order, and when food is ready she dropped food on table and walks off without asking if we needed anything - which I did. Finally about 15 minutes later we flag her down bc one - I needed ranch and something different to drink because lo & behold, the bottled Pepsi was flat as a pancake. It was only when I asked for sweet tea or something that didn't come out of 2 liter because it's flat that she proceeds to tell me that the "sprayer" is broke for the soda behind the bar. Never once came back except to bring the checks. Didn't ask how everything was - stood behind the bar on her phone majority of the time (was actually on her phone when we had to ask her to come over to the table). Horrible lunch experience that I won't be back for again. McDonald's is more deserving of those town's patronage than this...
Read moreWe came out from Brunswick with our son for karaoke for the first time tonight. The atmosphere was good. Everyone was nice. We ordered something to eat that came with scallions in it and my husband is allergic. The bartender was great to get us something different. The biggest challenge was that I asked for chicken nachos and we got hamburger nachos. No one ate them. I did mention it to her and told her that I thought we would try to eat them. But everyone expected chicken and no one touched them, so wasted food and we never got anything to eat but some fries we ordered in the beginning. They were hot and fresh....tasted good. I just wish that as soon as I mentioned that I got the wrong kind of nachos that they would have simply gotten a replacement of what I originally asked for. I felt bad for telling them that they messed up after the sweet bartender tried to fix the original problem. So, in the end, it was our fault that we didn't ask if the potstickers had onions when we ordered. Thank you bartender for trying to fix that. Sadly when the kitchen sent the wrong replacement nachos and they were not corrected, we never got to eat. But we made up for it in drinks. Maybe the food besides fries is good. I don't know. Disappointed in how it was handled. My husband and son enjoyed the...
