Super Sweet Bake Shop — Restaurant in Kingsland

I cried happy tears when Amanda unboxed this beautiful cake because I was overwhelmed with how amazing it turned out! I’m not the most creative person in the world, and I find it very hard to narrow now my ideas. I sent Amanda seven pictures of vastly different decorated cakes with comments about what I liked about each of them, and somehow she sorted out all my comments into this beautiful cake! I honestly don’t know how she did it. There was one cake with a pink base and gold splatter paint; I said I liked it a lot, but I would probably do navy and silver. Then there was another cake with blue ombré and silver dripping down the side with a weird baby blue stencil on it; I said I hated the baby blue color, but the ombré with silver drips was pretty cool. I also sent a few more variations of ombré and splatter designs with toppers and flowers. I am just flabbergasted at how she turned seven different cakes into the PERFECT cake for me!

To top it all off, the flavors were AMAZING! I ordered Cookies N’ Cream flavor for the bottom layer and Cookie Butter for the top layer. The Cookie Butter was my personal favorite, but I’ve always been a fan of white cake over chocolate cake. I mainly ordered two flavors for my guests to have options, but almost everyone had a slice of each.

I ordered regular cakes, but they offer gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan cakes as well! I’ll have to order one of those options next time…just for...

I absolutely love this place! I have worked with Amanda on several things lately. She is very nice, talented and will go through everything so thoroughly to make sure everything goes perfectly! Her pricing is great and her food is delicious. She has a lot of options to choose from in her case so every time I have been in there is something for me to choose. Sometimes I walk into a bake shop and most of the goods are picked over.

The shop itself is clean, spacious and cute. The staff is super sweet and knowledgable about the products. The only downfall is they are not a gluten free kitchen (which doesn't affect me, but it affects a couple of family members). The only gluten free options they have are special orders and macarons (which are AMAZING by the way). We have ordered a couple times for events and they have not happened yet. I will come back and edit my review, or add another for that but I have no doubt it...

After seeing Amanda’s work online, my wife and I decided to order a cake (and smash cake) for our sons 1st birthday party. It was only fitting to order a koala cake since his bedroom theme is koalas. We found an example of what we wanted online and sent it to Amanda. I must say, we were blown away by her work. I was extremely impressed by the appearance of the cakes…she nailed it. After hours of anticipation, we finally cut into the cake and we were not disappointed at all! The taste was amazing. Amanda is quick to respond, professional, and a subject matter expert in her baking and decorating. She even added some extra fondant accessories to the smash cake (rattle and pacifier).
