We ordered food online and went thru the drive-thru to pick it up, but was told to come inside because the food was still cooking and would be ready in 3 minutes. No problem because that means food would be hot. Our food was supposed to be ready at 408pm, and at 426 I was told they were waiting on 1 shrimp, while everything else had been sitting in the window waiting. When I finally asked for a refund, I was told by the manager that he could go back there and "personally" make my food fresh, while another customer had just walked in waiting outside waiting over 20 minutes for his food, and a lady and her Don had been sitting inside waiting over 15 minutes. Theblady running the drive thru has been telling everybody 3 minutes, no mattercehat the wait time is, and then the wait time ends up being 15-20 or more. The manager asked her about this, and she said she tells everybody 3 minutes no matter how long the wait is. Plus, it also takes so long because they take all of the orders and put each box on a scale and put a specific amount of food in it. If its too much or too little, they exchange pieces out to get it as close to a specific weight as possible. This place is garbage. Read moreOh what a time! My wife had a pregnancy craving so we ordered online. Got to store and went to the drive thru and they told us the online order had been canceled. We didn't cancel. They said there was nothing they could do to fix it, yet our money had been taken. I proceeded to park and walk inside the store to try and figure this out why they couldn't refund us or give us food. I waited at the counter and someone came out from the back and said "everything is made to order so it will be a minute." I told them that we need to solve this situation and asked for a customer service number. They seemed reluctant to give it to me or even help me. That was until I told them my wife was pregnant then they did a 180 and called their manager.
After about 30 minutes they told me that their manager had said our card didn't have enough money that's why they couldn't help us. Then with some wizard Magic the manager was able to refund us and we had to reorder.
First off we have overdraft protection so if we didn't have enough it wouldn't have gone through in the first place.
Second I dont understand why they were able to refund us so quickly after I mentioned my wife being pregnant that shouldn't have mattered.

Read moreSadly, this is the only Long John Silver's that we have left, here in Kingsport. We used to go there quite a bit, and it was SO good! However, we don't go there much anymore...because the food doesn't taste like it used to. Like the chicken, it is ALWAYS overcooked and tastes very greasy. (I don't know if they are not using fresh oil, or what it is exactly. But then on top of that, they overcook it and so the chicken is rubbery and nasty) The sides...french fries are always cold and soggy (unless you ask for them to make your food fresh...but then they really act agitated) and the hush puppies are SO hard and crunchy. I don't know if someone there at the location is responsible for changing bulbs, or what is going on with the outside/drive thru lighting. But if you go there at night and especially to the drive thru...you can't see the menu or anything! It's sad, bc we used to love going there...but it's just not the same anymore. And LJS food is really good, when it's done right. Also, there don't ever seem to be no more than two employees working at once and they are not smiley or friendly. I have honestly thought about trying to contact corporate/the owner and expressing these issues. Bc they could get SO much more business, if they were aware (if they aren't...
