Ive been going to food city for the last yr or so and in the last wk I've lost the only 2 iced coffees I've got from this location due to the lids not being shut completely. Im not sure if they're using new lids or what. Also since the renovation all hot coffees taste burnt. I usually have excellent experiences and staff is always great but there are occasions where our drinks aren't full or they are not made properly like this morning in my white chocolate mocha they didn't put any white chocolate mocha it's just espresso milk and whip. Another example, Last night my Frappuccinos I ordered were not made to order when im paying for the extra items I customize with. The issues I've encountered don't outweigh the good but they are becoming more frequent. I would've said something today in store but almost always do mobile order and had someone else pick up for me so I didn't know until I received it at home. I do understand that there have been issues with staff shortages and such so I don't always complain when It's not a big deal but completely leaving out the white mocha from a white choc mocha drink is a bit much especially when I'm paying for extra pumps but unfortunately I do not have time to go back and complain as I take care of my 95 yr old grandmother. I have heard many people complaining lately about this store and having issues lately so I'm only sharing some recent experiences when most of the time they are positive, just so it can be brought to their attention. Also if I am able to catch any issues quickly they are always fixed without hesitation and staff is always friendly about it. I suppose my point is check your drinks before you leave just in case.(Update) 5 months later things got better but now we are noticing when we order light foam or no foam is when our drinks are not full. When we don't order this way drinks are full even after foam settles so I'm not sure why but it seems to be certain employees but today our drinks haf to be remade twice and still wasn't full on the third time. We are paying for ventis not grandes. Also curious if anyone else has this problem. Photos below are just a small fraction of the times it has happened. It only seems to happen at this location. Sometimes we are given cards for free drinks but other times certain employees act like it's a problem when we say anything and are rude but most of them aren't but there are those few that are. We have said something multiple, multiple times and it still is an issue with those certain employees when making it with light or no foam. We just want full drinks of the size we are paying for when we actually buy atleast twice a day...
Read moreI walked in with my sister around 8:40am on a Friday, the cafe had a couple people here and there but no line. We went up to the counter and she ordered without any fuss, but when I got to the register, the cashier was visibly impatient. Now, I've been having allergy issues this past week, so my voice was rough and it hurt my throat to speak loudly, so I don't blame the cashier at all for asking me to repeat my name several times. I do think it was a bit rude to huff and say "There's no time for this" and send my cup on without any name on it and hastily wrap up my order. Normally, I'd let it go, bc I've worked in the service industry, I know it's difficult to be patient with everyone, but...there was no line behind me. If there'd been twenty people behind me, sure, there's no time to decipher my catscratch voice, but my sister and I were the only people ordering. There was time, if she'd been a little more patient, I was even about to give her one of my nicknames that would've been easier to hear. In addition, she got my order wrong. It was still pretty good coffee, but not at all what I asked for. Good coffee, but too expensive for incorrect orders and less than friendly...
Read moreI do mobile app orders all the time now, as its just easier to grab and go and not have to wait in line or wait to order due to short staff or business. But I have recently experienced doing an mobile app order over 100$ while saying the store is open and they take my money but the minutei go to pick up my order they have a piece of on the door that says closed due to hot water heater issues. Here I am coming up on over a week of contacting customer service to receive my money back and nothing. I understand things happen but I find it ridiculous that the store itself can except the payments when closed but cannot refund, so I am having to deal with foreign customer service people who I am sure are a 3rd party who technically only have the capability of giving no more the 25$ back when it comes to refunds.
